Shabbat 8/11/2018

Shabbat Shalom!

Here we are in the “dog days of summer” and I am still asking “what in the world does that mean?” Well, I just returned from walking my dogs and they said to me

With their eyes “it’s too hot to walk!” I guess it means that the dogs get to stay in the cool house during these days!

Anyway, we are getting ready to enter the most important days on the Biblical Kingdom Calendar with the Hebrew month of Elul beginning in a few days, followed by the Fall festivals as we set our gaze to the triumphant return of our Lord!

This Shabbat, August 11th@10:30am I will be starting a new series of teachings on the subject of ALIGNMENT. What does it mean and how do we align our spirit, soul, and body with this paradigm and how does it bring us into the “John 17 Echad" (unity) that we are called to live out. I am really excited about this and know that Or Chaim Congregation will be mightily blessed by this alignment we will be learning to walk in!

WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK LUNCH FOLLOWING THE SERVICE SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE, AND ENJOY THE FELLOWSHIP!

Remember, those that want to read through and discuss the Torah portion of the week, will be meeting downstairs in the fellowship room starting at 9am. Also, several folks have shown an interest in meeting before the service for prayer. Devorah Schott will be leading a time of prayer in one of the children’s classrooms starting at 8:30am. This will be a great opportunity to invite the Ruach into every aspect of our services, and see our faithful Father meet so many needs as we also pray for this city, nation and Israel!

This Wednesday night August 15th from 6:15 to 9:00pm we will have a meet and greet with Gary and Kathleen Hixson and family at Patricia DeLeon’s house, 10578 Ouray Street, Commerce City, 80022 followed by a study on FEAR. Snacks will be provided.  Gary and family are emissaries to Spain and have a ministry in Deliverance and Counseling. Please come and show support for this precious family.

We look forward to seeing you this Shabbat!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 8/3/2018

SHABBAT SHALOM!

What a wonderful weekend we had! Paul Wilbur was with us for our Shabbat service and again on Saturday evening. Fun, worshipful, and very prophetic!! We are in a NEW TIME, not a new season, but a NEW TIME! A new level of intensity where the Spirit of The Lord is moving to align His people with His purposes and to restore hope to those in distress. Are you a Prisoner of Hope?

This Shabbat, August 4th@10:30am, we will wrap up our 10 month study of the book of Romans with a message entitled “GOD OF POWER/GOD OF WISDOM”. We will explore Rav Shaul’s summation of God’s promises of deliverance and ultimate victory as we walk in His power and wisdom.

WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO PLEASE BRING A DISH TO SHARE, AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

This Sunday Aug 5th is “The Event” the first Colorado Messianic Women’s Fellowship Gathering from 2-5 pm at Koelbel Library Rooms A & B in Centennial. Ladies we encourage you to attend for this historic event of worship, fellowship, and encouragement with women from all over Colorado.

We want to invite all of you to the mountain (Gateway On Mt. Zion) this Friday, August 3rd@6:30pm for a special evening with dear friends of ours, Tom and Teresa Craig. They have ministered for over 25 years to the peoples of the Middle East, especially those that are spoken of in Isaiah 19. They will be sharing their revelation and prophetic insight into the significance of that scripture for Egypt, Assyria, and Israel in the culmination of all scripture! We will start with a time of worship promptly at 6:30, followed by their sharing. Invite anyone who may be interested in hearing about the exciting things happening in that region of the world!

Remember we have Torah study downstairs in the fellowship room starting at 9am on Shabbat. This is a great opportunity to read through and discuss the “Parsha” of the week with others who are hungry for His word!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 7/21/2018

Shabbat Shalom!

We are in a very unique and historically tragic time on the Jewish calendar. Beginning on sunset this Shabbat, July 21st, is Tisha B’Av, the 9th of Av, where Jews remember the destruction of both of their temples and is traditionally a time when the Jewish people have seen great peril. It is a time of intense prayer and in many cases fasting, as our people call out to God for protection and deliverance and also a time for us to remember that throughout our history when we have turned our back on God and His word there are severe consequences.

This Shabbat, July 21st, we will be continuing in our study in Romans as we look at chapter 15. What are you passionate about? In this powerful section we get a glimpse of Shaul’s passion as he partners with a group of people he hasn’t met before to see the good news of the crucified Messiah transform the world! Are we passionate about this taking place? He was absolutely convinced of this and so should we be convinced!

FOLLOWING THE SERVICE WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR THE FELLOWSHIP!

A reminder, next Shabbat, July 28th, Paul Wilbur will be with us during our Shabbat service! The service starts at 10:30am so invite your friends and family. I suggest you get there early for your seats! We have been having some wonderful times in the presence of The Lord as we have worshipped, danced and experienced His joy together. WE would ask that you continue to pray for Or Chaim and our services as we desire nothing more than TO BE IN HIS PRESENCE, SERVING, LOVING HIM, AND CELEBRATING ONE ANOTHER!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 7/14/2018

Shabbat Shalom!

Hope everyone is staying cool during this string of 90 degree+ temperatures! We have been looking into the book of Romans since last Fall and are coming close to the end. For me, it has been a tremendous time of revelation from the whole of God’s word as I have prepared every week and studied some difficult passages of scripture that are hard to explain let alone live by.  I heard something the other day that struck me: "revelation without application will lead to frustration; revelation with application will always lead to expectation.” Are our lives filled with expectation, hope, joy? Has the Lord spoken to you something that you have not applied to your life, relationships, job? Have you read something in the word that you know you need to obey, and haven’t? All of us can probably answer yes to some of these questions, but we are serving the God of all patience and encouragement who never condemns and always empowers us to walk in His truth! Don’t give up, trust Him in whatever situation you find yourself in today!

This Shabbat, July 14th@10:30am, we will be hosting Dr. Dan and Patti Juster of Tikkun to Or Chaim Congregation. Dan is the Founder and Director of the network, Tikkun, we are partnering with, dedicated to the restoration of Israel and the church. He has been a foundational and visionary leader of the modern Messianic movement since the early 70’s. He has authored such classics as Due Process, Jewish Roots, Relational Leadership, Passion For Israel, and many more! He, and his wife Patti reside in Jerusalem most of the year where they speak, write, and encourage the believers in the land and travel extensively around the world prophetically declaring what God is doing in Israel and in the church.

We encourage you to come to our service and invite your friends to hear of exciting things that are happening at this time! WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING SOME FOOD TO SHARE AND STAY FOR THE FELLOWSHIP!

We do have a mid-week home group entitled Walking In Victory every Wednesday night@7pm at the McDowell’s home; 50 S. Chase St. in Lakewood. It is a great time to study the scriptures with others and discuss and encourage one another in applying God’s word in our lives! We end promptly at 8:30. We also have a Torah Midrash@9am on Shabbat where the Torah portion of the week is read and discussed and all are welcome.

Also, we will be having a special service with Paul Wilbur on Shabbat, July 28th! He will be with us during the morning service, as well as a special concert that evening. You might want to come early to this services as they will fill up quickly!

We look forward to seeing you this Shabbat!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom,

Shabbat 7/7/18

Shabbat Shalom!

Hope everyone had a great Independence Day! Of course, we know that it is more than BBQ’s and fireworks, but a day to remember and reflect upon the freedom we have in this nation. I have travelled to about 40 nations and lived for extended periods in several of them, and I know for a fact that the USA, with all it’s problems is still a nation that is incredibly blessed by God! Liberty is never without cost, and in the same way the liberty we experience in Yeshua is also something that we have to guard, nurture, reflect upon, and give thanks for so as not to lose. We want to encourage you to celebrate your liberty at this season, and also come alongside others and help them walk in that liberty that only comes in relationship with Yeshua HaMessiach! This Shabbat, July 7th, I will be continuing on this theme of liberty/freedom with a message entitled “GIVE YOUR LIFE AWAY!”, as we continue on our journey through Romans, in chapter 15. THERE WILL BE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE, AND ENJOY THE FELLOWSHIP!

Just a reminder, next Shabbat, July 14th, Dan and Patti Juster of Tikkun International will be with us during our morning service. He has authored many books and is one of the foremost theologians in the Messianic Jewish world! Also, on July 28th, Paul Wilbur, prophetic Songwriter/Psalmist known around the world will be with us! You don’t want to miss these upcoming events, and you certainly want to invite your friends to these special times of impartation!

We have had some new folks come to Or Chaim over the last weeks, so we want to encourage you to meet them, introduce yourselves, and have a meal and get to know them! We want to be a community that is known for the genuine love it has for each other, and one that reaches out to welcome visitors, some of whom have just moved into the area. Can’t wait to see you all this Shabbat!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 6/30/2018

SHABBAT SHALOM!How often do you ask the question “In what ways do my actions/behaviors or practices affect others in my faith community?” Of course I am not advocating that you ask everyone’s opinion before doing anything, but I am challenging us to consider if our actions, positively or adversely, impact others in their pursuit of 'Yeshua-likeness’. This Shabbat, June 30th @10:30am, we will wrap up our look at Romans 14, and examine how we can build up one another, as opposed to tearing each other up in these absolutely polarized and explosive days! These last chapters in this amazing book really speak to ‘where the rubber hits the road’ in our relationships in our faith communities, as well as living in a dark and hostile world. THERE WILL BE NO ONEG FOLLOWING THE MORNING SERVICE, AS WE WILL HAVING OUR HAVDALAH FELLOWSHIP IN THE EVENING!

Everyone is invited to Russ and Siri Crider’s home at 5:30pm on Saturday, June 30th, for a wonderful evening of fellowship, food, and worship as we close out the Shabbat! They will be providing the burgers and chicken as well as drinks, so bring a salad or dessert to complete this awesome meal! Their address is: 22493 E. Maplewood Ln., Aurora 80015.Please let Russ and Siri know if you are coming by calling (303)693-9762(land); or, (303)859-1250 (Russ), or Siri at (720)469-0234. With all these phone numbers, there is no excuse not to be there! These are special evenings with great fellowship, laughter and deeper relationships being formed. If you are new to Or Chaim, or have never been to one of our Havdalah, we encourage you to come on out, meet the folks, and begin a new week in a fabulous way!

As a reminder, this Sunday is the first Sunday of the month, and we have an opportunity to join with others in the metro area to pray for God’s outpouring in our city as part of the 1CHURCH INITIATIVE! We have hour slots, beginning at 6pm Sunday July 1st, to saturate this area with kingdom prayer, ending at 6pm on Monday. In spite of all the “craziness” we are seeing wonderful things happen in our area as churches and congregations join together to impact our city, state, and nation!

See you on Shabbat!
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 6/23/2018

Shabbat Shalom!

What a wonderful presence of The Lord last week as we had Jerry and Karen Ellard lead us in worship and intercession for our nation, the Body, and Israel! We spoke TRUTH and JUSTICE into our governmental institutions, our media, and our educational system. Father is calling us to intensify, not lessen, our petitioning of heaven, and to increase our expectation and faith levels as we see more of His divine purposes for redemption being released.

This Shabbat, June 23rd at 10:30 am we will be continuing our study of the book of Romans, with a look at a very controversial and challenging chapter 14 where important questions are raised about how to live in a pagan culture (Rome). These questions raised are just as relevant for us today as they were 2000 years ago. You don’t want to miss this teaching!

YEAH! WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR THE FELLOWSHIP!

There are many exciting events coming up at Or Chaim in the next month. So check out our website, calendar, and Facebook posts that are regularly added. Also, you can download an Or Chaim app, that links you to everything going on in our community! It includes a bible and all of our sermons, and much more.

Dr.Dan and Patti Juster of Tikkun International will be with us on July 14th and Paul Wilbur will be with us on the weekend of July 28th.

Summer has arrived so stay safe as you travel and know we miss you and are here for you when you are home!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Jerry and Karen Ellard Shabbat 6/16

Join us this Shabbat June 16!

Jerry and Karen Ellard  /  Ambassadors for Israel Global

After having served in stateside pastoral positions for over 20 years and recently for over 7 years as prophetic worship and intercession leaders, teachers, community group leaders in Jerusalem, Israel, we have very recently returned to the U.S.A. ‘for a season’ with a fresh new directive from the Holy Spirit to sow prayer and to sow worship in the United States specifically to help birth the forthcoming move of the Holy Spirit, releasing the glory of God in our nation.  We have been sent from Israel to the States and the nations by many apostolic/prophetic leaders including Rick Ridings, Gene and Mary Lois Little, John and Una Gere, Tom and Kate Hess,  and Juergen and Vesna Buehler.

We are traveling much and connecting with congregations encouraging them to stand with Israel.  Our passion is still Romans 11, “all Israel shall be saved.”  Though we are not in Israel, we are still strongly connected.

The Ellards also have a true passion to see the 3rd Great Awakening break forth in the United States of America.

Also, while here, God has given us a mandate to impact Washington, D.C.  with the sound of heaven,  having made 4 trips to Washington, D.C. since July 2017, having led worship in Washington, D.C. congregations, prayer meetings, participated in a Supreme Court covert prayer team in February,  2018 National Day of Prayer worship venue (May) and leading worship for a 2018 Mid-May International Christian Embassy Jerusalem's 3 day leader's meeting (held also in Washington, D.C.).

The Ellards just released a brand new worship CD 'WE BLESS OUR NATION' that focuses on a prophetic journey of songs to be a part of ushering in Holy Spirit's  breakthrough for our nation.

The Ellards have been led by the Lord to make prophetic westward trips prophesying the Word of the Lord from Ezekiel 37 to the ‘dry bones’ of the United States. We have received a strong prophetic word that we will prophesy from coast to coast in the United States of America.

Shabbat 6/16/2018

Shabbat Shalom!

Hope everyone is trying to stay cool! "Ah, but it’s a dry heat”, is the refrain you hear so often, even so we are so blessed by the weather we enjoy in Colorado! This Shabbat, June 16th at 10:30am we will welcome Jerry and Karen Ellard to Or Chaim for a wonderful morning of worship, praise and ‘harp and bowl’ time in the presence of The Lord. The Ellard's lived for several years in Jerusalem and have an anointing as Psalmists which is a gift to the body of Messiah! They will be ministering during our morning service, so come on out and lets soak in His presence together! We will NOT be having Oneg following the service this week. Several of our leadership couples are out of town this week but The Ruach will be there in power, and we are full of expectation that He will meet with us all in a special way!

Many exciting events coming up this summer, Dan and Patti Juster on July 14th, Paul Wilbur on the weekend of July 28th so we ask that you put these happenings in your calendars and be in prayer for them. Also, remember that we have mid-week home group at the McDowells’ on Wednesday evenings, starting at 7pm. All are welcome!

Hope to see you on Shabbat, we all need to encourage and bless one another!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat June 9, 2018

Shabbat Shalom!

Millie and I had a wonderful and full time this past week as we attended the annual Tikkun conference outside of Baltimore. There are over 25 congregations within the network here in the US, as well as 8 congregations in Israel, and it was a blessing to catch up with old friends and make new ones. The theme was RESTORE, and how we as individuals, families, and congregations are to live Biblically-Balanced lives in the midst of a sometimes hostile culture. One of the many challenges I heard was “It’s harder to CHANGE culture than to CREATE culture”, and yet that is what we are called to do! In line with this challenge, we will be be looking at Romans 12-13 and continuing on the subject of how to live as counter-cultural Believers with the mandate of love we have.

FOLLOWING THE MORNING SERVICE, THE BUSBY FAMILY WILL BE HOSTING A SPECIAL ONEG LUNCH TO RAISE SUPPORT FOR DAUGHTER KAILA AS SHE IS PREPARING TO MINISTER IN ISRAEL! WE WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO BLESS HER AS SHE WILL BE LEAVING SHORTLY TO JOIN HAYOVEL FOR THE SUMMER, TO HELP IN THE HARVEST. THEY WILL BE PROVIDING ALL OF THE FOOD FOR OUR LUNCH, SO COME ON OUT AND SUPPORT THIS AWESOME YOUNG WOMAN OF GOD AS SHE FULFILLS THE CALLING GOD PUT ON HER HEART!

We have an exciting summer coming up, with special services and opportunities to bless the Front Range! Soon we will be going out to the streets of Golden blessing the city and praying for people as God brings divine appointments. Also, we will be having Jerry and Karen Ellard, Paul Wilbur, Chuck Pierce, and Dan Juster visiting with us and blessing us with their ministry and teaching over the summer weeks !

Rav Shaul says in Romans 13 “The night is almost gone  and the day is near, so let us PUT OFF the works of darkness and PUT ON the armor of light.” I sense an urgency in my spirit, as do others, that those words uttered almost 2000 years ago are to be applied to our lives, so that our culture can be radically changed! Our Heavenly father has equipped us, through Yeshua and the Ruach HaKodesh, to not just stand against the powers of darkness, but to overwhelmingly conquer and take back territory that had been ceded to those powers of darkness. I am more convinced than ever that the only standard of truth we have is the Word of God, and that when we engage our new nature with His word BY FAITH, incredible things will happen! We have victory by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

We look forward to seeing all of you this Shabbat! We will be joining together to participate in the Lord’s Supper during the service so I want to encourage everyone to come on out for this very special time as we re-commission ourselves for HIS PURPOSES!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom

Shabbat June 2, 2018

Shabbat Shalom!

Millie and I have been at our annual Tikkun network leadership conference outside of Baltimore. It has been a great time of re-connecting with friends from around the country and Israel! Dan Juster, founder of Tikkun had a wonderful teaching on Social Justice and the next generation, and the challenges of proclaiming that true Justice is in Kingdom principles.  Asher Intrader and Ron Cantor, as well as others from Israel shared about exciting things happening in the body of Believers as well as the nation, during this 70th year celebration of modern Israel! We had a little free time yesterday so toured the Naval Academy at Annapolis. For those of you that don’t know I was in the US Navy so this visit was nostalgic for me.

I want to encourage all of you to come to our Shabbat service, June 2nd at 10:30am, as our elder Russ Crider, will be sharing a message that Abba has put on his heart. This man has an incredibly huge heart of love for our congregation, and all of us have been blessed by him and Siri’s care for Or Chaim! There will be Oneg after the service. After Service GOMZ will be holding a seminar in the sanctuary so plan on leaving through the fellowship hall doors downstairs.

Just a reminder, this Sunday at 6pm, we have the opportunity to pray for our city as part of the 1CHURCH initiative. We want to see the RUACH move in our city, and nation to the degree that transformation comes and the body comes into a John 17 unity!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 5/26/2018

Shabbat Shalom! What a great time we had las week as we celebrated Shavuot! The Rabbi’s Son, Bill Bullock was with us all day on Shabbat and blessed us with an incredible teaching on the ministry of the Ruach HaKodesh, and the transformation that He brings into our lives. On Sunday, several congregations met at Central Park for a time of worship, fellowship, and encouragement in the Word. What a powerful and meaningful time for the community of Believers as we joined as One, different in style, appearance, and emphasis but yet committed to ONE NEW HUMANITY, JEW AND GENTILE TOGETHER! Tonight, Friday 5/25 Daniel David the awesome anointed violinist will be at ROEH ISRAEL. Burt Yellin has invited us all to join them for  a concert at 7pm.

This Shabbat, May 26th, we will be continuing our in-debth study of Romans by dealving into chapter 12, and exploring the marks of a “Counter-Cultural believer”, in the midst of a culture that embraces the darkness. YES, WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRINGA DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

I want to encourage you, as we look upon an increasingly dangerous and turbulent world, where age-old prophesy is coming to pass amidst unprecedented hatred and polarization, to not lose hope in who our Covenant keeping, Faithful “Exodus 34:6-7" Loving Father really is! Whatever you may be going through today, He is “THE I AM WHO I AM” to you in this very moment. Our job? Believe who He is. Walk humbly, forgiving those who wrong you, and bless those who come against you! This is never easy, but it is the way of The Holy One, and He empowers us through His grace to walk it out. In line with this admonition, I want to encourage you to be faithful to our gatherings, others need to hear what Father is doing in your life, and you need to hear from them! Last week, our brother Tom suffered a stroke, we prayed as a community for a miracle, and God restored him amazingly, to the point that he was back on his tractor on Monday! This is what “family” is all about!

We look forward to seeing you all this Shabbat!
Blessings and Shalom!

Shabbat Shalom Mother’s Day Weekend 5/12/2018

Shabbat Shalom!

A truly amazing time to be alive! To see prophesy fulfilled so quickly in our lifetimes, should encourage us in these days. Some of it is scary, such as Biblical Persia (Iran) coming against Israel and Damascus being laid waste. Other fulfillments give hope, like the re-birth of Israel and the re-unification of Jerusalem, and so many other things that God said would happen, are coming to pass so quickly! Be confident, and stay faithful!

Happy Mother’s Day Weekend to all moms. Give thanks to the Lord this weekend for your mother and bless her in tangible ways. Those whose mom’s have already completed their work here on earth, take a moment and reflect. Give God thanks!  Those who have had painful relationships, if you can take a step towards healing. After all without our moms we would not be here.

This Shabbat, May 12th, we will be looking at Romans 12:1-8, with a message titled “Transformed Lives”, exploring how to be renewed in our thought life, with practical suggestions on how to really do it! WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE, AND STAY FOR THE FELLOWSHIP!

Next Shabbat, May 19th, we will be hosting Bill and Rose Mary Bullock of Rabbi’s Son Ministry to share on the Biblical feast, Shavuot! He has an incredible way of bringing Torah to life, which draws all of us into a greater desire for intimacy with the Holy One of Israel! You don’t want to miss this special time, and he will be with us all day, so invite your friends and family , and also bring some food to share as we will have a potluck lunch between the sessions. We will take up a love offering for the Bullocks' to bless them! On Sunday, May 20th, we will join the Messianic community for a city-wide celebration of Shavuot at Central Park, in the Stapleton neighborhood of Denver. Bring a picnic lunch and join in the fun!

I want to encourage all who consider Or Chaim their congregational home to be faithful in your attendance at our services. Our attitude should be to honor and serve the Lord on Shabbat. It is about WORSHIPPING HIM, and observing His command to REST IN HIM, and joining with the community to BLESS HIM! It’s not about what the congregation provides, or doesn’t provide for you, it is about HONORING HIM corporately!

SEE YOU THERE, AND SHABBAT SHALOM!

Shabbat 5/5/2018

Shabbat Shalom! We had such an awesome service last week with several Israeli worshippers joining with us! The presence of The Lord was powerful and there was absolutely no need for translation! We love those special times, and it makes us hunger and thirst for more of HIM. This Shabbat, May 5th, we will be continuing our series on Romans, and will begin to look at chapter 12, how we are to BE LIVING SACRIFICES! Come with an expectation of meeting with the living God, not because it’s the “right” thing to do, or expected because, after all it’s Shabbat, but come because you love God and you love the Kehilat. We will have a potluck Oneg following the service, so please bring a dish to share and enjoy the fellowship! This Sunday, May 6th, beginning at 6pm we are privileged to pray as part of the Wall of Prayer 1Church Initiative in the Rocky Mountain region of Colorado. It is a 24 hour time of praying for and releasing blessing into the churches and congregations in the area so that God’s purposes would burst forth here. Some of you have already signed up for hour-long slots, so that the whole day will be covered, but there is still opportunity to sign up this Shabbat!
On Shabbat, May 19th, we will be welcoming Rabbi Bill Bullock of Regions Christian Center in Texas, who will be with us all day. It is Shavuot, and he will bring his powerful and unique teaching about this special day, in a way that invites intimacy with The Holy One. Invite your family and friends for this wonderful day! Of course, we will have a potluck Oneg following the morning service, so we want to encourage everyone to bring a little extra food as we are expecting quite a few visitors. After our meal, we will meet back in the sanctuary for his afternoon session. Look forward to seeing you all there! On Sunday, May 20th, we will celebrate Shavuot as a community with several congregations together at Central Park in the Stapleton neighborhood of Denver. This celebration is from 10am -4pm, and is sponsored by the Harvest Messianic Congregation. All are welcome!
In the words of Shaul the Apostle, “NOW TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO FAR BEYOND ALL THAT WE ASK OR IMAGINE … TO HIM BE THE GLORY IN THE COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS AND IN MESSIAH YESHUA THROUGHOUT ALL GENERATIONS FOREVER AND EVER!"

Shabbat 4/28/2018

Shabbat Shalom! The doctor says, “you’re a young man”, I replied, “thank you, but I’m 65!” She said, “you’re in great shape compared to a lot of others your age!" Needless to say, my day was made and I came away thinking that it is not the amount of years, it is how young your heart feels in the quality of your years. God has done so much for us, and I have hope that He will see His plans come to fruition for us individually, our families and our congregation, and in His redeeming work in the nations! This Shabbat, April 28th at 10:30am, we are going to have a special time of worship as Or Chaim welcomes some young, on-fire Israelis who will be joining our team, exalting the God of Israel in praise and thanksgiving! They live in the Galilee and are part of a Messianic congregation in the land. Invite your friends and family for this wonderful service! Also, I promise I WILL finish chapter 11 of Romans this week. An incredible chapter that builds your faith, and makes you wonder in amazement at the plans of God!
FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE, AND ENJOY FELLOWSHIP WITH THE MISHPACHA!

Some upcoming events that you should be aware of: On May 19th, we will welcome The Rabbi’s Son, Bill Bullock, to share from Torah some incredible truths of Shavuot. It will be a great time as he will be with us all day! Bill has wonderful insight and a way of sharing that invites us into intimacy with the Holy One of Israel. Invite your friends to this special time, and we will be having a potluck lunch after the morning service. The following day, Sunday May 20th, Or Chaim will be joining together with other congregations in the city to celebrate “Shavuot in Central Park”, so bring a blanket, some food and drinks, and the kids for a great time of city-wide fellowship! It takes place between 10am-4pm.
A reminder, we have two home fellowships taking place on Wednesdays from 7-8:30pm. I want to encourage you to be involved in these special times of teaching, discussion, and growing in our walk! Contact Pastor Stewart for more information.

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat Shalom and Happy 70th Israel! This Shabbat, April 21st, we are back into the book of Romans! As we begin to look at the heart of an incredible chapter 11, we will explore the Root and the branches, and it’s significance to us today in the Messianic Jewish movement. WE WILL HAVE OUR MONTHLY HAVDALAH FELLOWSHIP AT THE WESTENDORF’S FARM! THEIR ADDRESS IS 1029 S.BONNIE LANE, WATKINS, 80137. WE WILL MEET AT 5PM, SO BRING YOUR FAVORITE BREAKFAST DISH (GREAT IDEA FOR A CHANGE!).

Wednesday Home Group Studies

Shalom!

As a community, we know that it is important to be “Citizens of the Kingdom”, equipped to proclaim the truth of God’s Word and live overcoming lives because we know the King. To this end, we will be starting two mid-week Wednesday Bible studies, designed to develop us as Talmidim (disciples), “accurately handling the word of truth.” I WANT TO ENCOURAGE ALL OF YOU TO PRAY ABOUT WHICH CLASS TO ATTEND! THEY WILL NOT BE ON LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, BUT WILL BE IN HIGHLANDS RANCH AND LAKEWOOD.
Paul Myrant will be teaching a class entitled UNDERSTANDING THE PERSON AND MINISTRY OF THE RUACH HA KODESH: You will examine who is the Holy Spirit, and how to hear His voice and operate in His gifts. The Ruach is the primary means by which we interact with the Godhead. He points us to Yeshua, fills us with His character, and anoints us with His power to minister in the body of Messiah. You will cover the Ruach’s gifts in detail, both the permanent and the “in the moment” gifts. You will learn how to pray and prophesy. this class will be a safe place to grow in our gifts and ministry. PAUL AND JAN’S ADDRESS IS: 9458 HIBISCUS DR., HIGHLANDS RANCH, 80126. (714)803-4753
I, (Pastor Stewart) will be teaching a class entitled: A NEW CREATION! WALKING IN VICTORY AND FAVOR EVERYDAY! We will be exploring what the scripture says about who we are and how we can choose to walk in greater confidence based on the finished work of Yeshua’s sacrifice on the cross. We will study how the “flesh” develops, and more importantly, how we can be set free from it and the power of sin that wars against us. We will set out on a journey of renewing our minds, based on Truth and God’s word, so we will be able to live as overcomes in this world! WE WILL BE MEETING Wednesday’s AT THE MCDOWELLS’ HOME: 50 S.CHASE DR., LAKEWOOD, 80226. (720)300-8342
BOTH OF THESE CLASSES WILL BE FROM 7-8:30PM!
Please pray and ask The Lord which class you are to attend. These home groups are incredibly important for our individual growth, as well as the growth of our community! Please call if you have any questions.

Blessings and Shalom!
Pastor Stewart
