Shabbat 4/28/2018

Shabbat Shalom! The doctor says, “you’re a young man”, I replied, “thank you, but I’m 65!” She said, “you’re in great shape compared to a lot of others your age!" Needless to say, my day was made and I came away thinking that it is not the amount of years, it is how young your heart feels in the quality of your years. God has done so much for us, and I have hope that He will see His plans come to fruition for us individually, our families and our congregation, and in His redeeming work in the nations! This Shabbat, April 28th at 10:30am, we are going to have a special time of worship as Or Chaim welcomes some young, on-fire Israelis who will be joining our team, exalting the God of Israel in praise and thanksgiving! They live in the Galilee and are part of a Messianic congregation in the land. Invite your friends and family for this wonderful service! Also, I promise I WILL finish chapter 11 of Romans this week. An incredible chapter that builds your faith, and makes you wonder in amazement at the plans of God!
FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE, AND ENJOY FELLOWSHIP WITH THE MISHPACHA!

Some upcoming events that you should be aware of: On May 19th, we will welcome The Rabbi’s Son, Bill Bullock, to share from Torah some incredible truths of Shavuot. It will be a great time as he will be with us all day! Bill has wonderful insight and a way of sharing that invites us into intimacy with the Holy One of Israel. Invite your friends to this special time, and we will be having a potluck lunch after the morning service. The following day, Sunday May 20th, Or Chaim will be joining together with other congregations in the city to celebrate “Shavuot in Central Park”, so bring a blanket, some food and drinks, and the kids for a great time of city-wide fellowship! It takes place between 10am-4pm.
A reminder, we have two home fellowships taking place on Wednesdays from 7-8:30pm. I want to encourage you to be involved in these special times of teaching, discussion, and growing in our walk! Contact Pastor Stewart for more information.

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!
Stewart and Millie
