/Shabbat Shalom!
I guess as we turn the corner from the month of May into June, we “officially” enter the summer season. Gardening, family outings, road trips and these are great things, but let us also remember the admonition from the writer of Hebrews, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good deeds. And do not neglect our meetings … but encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” We certainly do need family and community during these stressful times. You know, we are either introvert or extrovert in our personality, and I am an introvert (I get are-energized by being alone), but God designed us all to be part of His “living stones” being joined together into a “spiritual house”! We need one another!
Come on out to Or Chaim this Shabbat, May 30th, as we worship Messiah together! Our address is 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401 and we begin at 11am. Last week we had a wonderful gathering for Shavuot as we celebrated giving of Torah and the early harvest with a beautiful production off the Book of Ruth by our worship/dance team! Thanks to all who participated! As we have been studying Covenant lately, I will be starting a series on The Authority and Power of God’s Word, which like Covenant, is very misunderstood in the Body. As a matter of fact, unfortunately much of the Church is Biblically illiterate! So, be prepared to become a student (talmid/disciple) of His Word and to walk in the authority He created us for. We will have a potluck oneg following the service, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP! We have had some great conversations as we share a meal together.
