Shabbat Oct 21, 2023

Shabbat Shalom,

It has been 2 weeks since the world witnessed the brutal attack on the people of Israel and the ugly head of anti-semitism once again showed itself to be just as hateful and prevalent as ever. We have prayed and many have fasted and we have tried to keep you as informed as we can, with various updates from those in the land. This is not a war between Israel and “Palestinians”, but a war brought upon Israel by people under the power of demonic entities who want to see Israel and the Jews wiped out! It is not complicated, it is a continuation of the ages-old agenda of the 'prince of this world’ to destroy the covenant people of God and thus to prove that God is not The Almighty One. The enemies plans will not succeed and God will bring about His purposes and that includes as Romans 11:26 states, “all Israel will be saved …”! Please continue to pray for wisdom and divinely inspired strategies for Israel’s leaders, protection over the IDF and the people of the land, and that the harvest of souls will be the result among both Arabs and Jews!

This Shabbat October 21st we will be meeting at The Dwelling Place at 11am. The address is 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401, so come on out and enjoy Shabbat with the ‘Mishpacha’ and be inspired by the Word, worship and the fellowship of a loving family! Father has given me a message to share, especially for this day we are living in, ABIDING: AUTHORITY, POWER, PRESENCE AND JOY! This is not a day to be fearful or timid in how we live or what we say, but to walk in the new identity as sons and daughters of the Living God. We look forward to seeing you and we will have a potluck Oneg following the service, so bring a dish and stay for fellowship. Our dance team will be showing their support for Israel and will be going to the 16th Street Mall for an afternoon outreach, so come on out and join with them and reach out to the community!

Also, many have asked how they can give through our different donation methods…You can go to our Or Chaim Congregation website https://www.or-chaim.com  and at MENU, go to GIVING AND TITHING and simply click the DONATE button and follow the prompts. Or you can text ‘orchaim’ to (833) 877-2788.  You may always send checks to 1658 Deer Creek Rd., Monument, Co. 80132.

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 10/14/2023

Shabbat Shalom,

My weekly greeting of 'Shabbat Shalom’ is bit harder this week as it has been a very heart-wrenching week of war, however it is so important and especially meaningful today. I wish you, from the bottom of my heart, a 'PEACEFUL REST’ even and especially in times of violence and unparalleled evil! Us, and many of you have been praying constantly for the people of Israel, as so many of them are friends of ours, and also that this nation would stand with Eretz Israel! As you know, we have been joining with millions around the world praying for a harvest of Jewish souls, and the devil along with the prince of Persia is angry and attempting to instill fear in God’s people, DON'T ALLOW FEAR TO TAKE HOLD! Our God is Adonai Tz’Vaot, the Lord God of angel armies, and He will have the victory! Stay strong and stay in prayer and don’t be discouraged or led astray by voices in the media that may soon begin to turn on the apple of God’s eye!

This Shabbat October 14th we will be meeting at the Dwelling Place at 11am. The address is 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401. We will be continuing our theme on INTIMACY: HIS WORD IN US! This will be a very timely message especially for the day that we are living in! We will also be praying for the situation in Israel, which will include a special chanting of Kaddish. THERE WILL BE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

I have to bring up a subject for your urgent prayer consideration. Those who know me are well aware that I LOATH to talk about finances! However, the finances of Or Chaim Congregation are very low. The bottom line is,  our outflow of expenses has been exceeding the inflow in the form of tithes and offerings. This has been ongoing for sometime and we are asking for your prayer into this situation. We know that our God is more than able to provide for all of our needs ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY! The good news is, we are not in debt or unable to pay expenses and bills, and we are continuing to support ministries in Israel, Africa and here locally! We have been in contact with our covering, Tikkun America, and are hearing that many other congregations are experiencing the same situation. So, we ask that you PRAY so that we can continue to provide for the Spiritual and practical needs of our community, and to be faithful to GIVE so as to be a blessing here, in Israel and into the nations!

Shabbat Sukkot Sameach 10/7/2023

Shabbat  Shalom and Chag Sameach!
What an amazing season we have enjoyed! The Fall feast celebrations have been special and the presence of Adonai has been thick!

Millie and I have been in Fruita, Co., celebrating Succoth with a Messianic Kehila we have gotten to know over the months, Beit Lechem. We have had wonderful meetings with them and have had opportunities to share about the significance of this season. Last night, they had an evening of worship and testimony, and it was so encouraging to hear young people sharing how they have encountered Yeshua in special ways!

We will be having our Shabbat service tomorrow, October 7th, at The Dwelling Place at 11am! The address is 16800 W. 9th Ave, Golden 80132. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat/Yom Kippur 5784

Shalom and L’Shana Tovah!

We had an amazing weekend with a beautiful Yom Teruahservice on Friday evening with many visitors and a special presence of The Holy One! On Shabbat afternoon, many of us spent a glorious afternoon at Castlewood Canyon Church in Franktown to enjoy Beckah Shea, and again, the presence of Adonai was sweet and many people were touched by her music and her testimony! On Sunday I was invited to share at Fuel Church here in Monument on the Fall Feasts. Bishop Eugenio and myself were blessed by the openness of the folks as we shared on the “Feasts of The Lord”, and again, Yeshua was moving in our midst as we were able to pray for healing and anoint people with oil!

This Shabbat September 23rd at 11am is “T’Shuva Shabbat”, the Shabbat between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur, named for the Haftorah portion found in Hosea 14:2, “RETURN O ISRAEL, TO ADONAI YOUR GOD, FOR YOU HAVE STUMBLED IN YOUR INIQUITY.” This is a season where God is calling His Kahal (called out ones, Church) to turn back to the One who has called us into covenant with Him! We also cry out for our nation to return to the One who forgives, restores and gives us life and purpose! I will be sharing a message on The Fruit of a Yielded Life, as we are desiring a closer more intimate walk with our Lord. We will have a potluck Oneg following the service, so bring a dish to share and stay for fellowship! On Sunday evening September 24th, we will be having our annual KOL NIDRE YOM KIPPUR SERVICE at The Dwelling Place at 6:30pm! All are invited to this special service of breaking vows, public confession and decrees, and proclaiming that the blood of our precious Yeshua is and always will be our only Atonement! We will enter into the Biblical fast for 24 hours after this service. The address for both of our services this weekend is 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401.

Next week is our Succoth Celebration with The Rabbi’s Son, Bill bullock! We will send out more information for this event in the coming days, but you will not want to miss this time! There are spaces to camp out or bring an RV to this event at Castlewood Canyon Church that will take place Friday September 30th - Sunday October 1st. Let us know if you are interested in camping out! Also, we will send out instructions on how you can have a wonderful breakfast brisket burrito for that Shabbat morning! We are also looking for volunteers to prepare a couple of soups for the Friday evening! As you can see, this is a very special time of the year for Community!

You may always send checks to 1658 Deer Creek Rd., Monument, Co.80132.Again, we look forward to seeing all of you this Shabbat

Yom Teruah Rosh HaShanah Friday night!

Shalom and Shana Tova!

Such an amazing season that we are entering! The Feast of Trumpets, Yom Teruah, has morphed into over the millennia as Rosh HaShana (head of the year, literally) for the Jewish people. Although not the Biblical new year (that is in the month of Nisan at Passover), it has become a traditional and civil new year, so we celebrate this Biblical feast with a sense of awe and expectation! It is the beginning of the 10 DAYS OF AWE, between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), some of the most significant and important days of God’s appointed times (Mo’adim) where His people meet with Him, and look forward to the day of ingathering and final harvest, and the triumphant return of our glorious Yeshua!

We will be gathering for our annual Yom Teruah service this Friday eveningSeptember 15th at 6:30pm! The address for The Dwelling Place is 16800 W. 9th Ave Golden, 80401. BRING YOUR SHOFARS AND BE PREPARED TO MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE TO ADONAI! This is always a special time for Or Chaim as we celebrate this Feast of Adonai, and worship Him and celebrate His goodness and faithfulness to us! This will be a great opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to experience this special service, and for them to experience the richness of the season. This will be our service for the weekend as we will not meet on Saturday morning! We are all invited to a special concert with BECKAH SHEA at CASTLEWOOD CANYON CHURCH in Franktown at 4pm on September 16th! The address for the church is 389 N. Castlewood Canyon, Franktown. The event is free but RSVP at ccanyon.org and a free-will offering will be taken, so bring your shofar and your camping chair because, weather-permitting, it will be at the outdoor amphitheater around the fire!

We know that this is a busy time of the year but it is also probably one of the most Spiritually active seasons of the year. The Holy One is desiring to meet with us and speak to us and empower us for the tumultuous times before us. These are not just random dates on the calendar or “Jewish things” or religious activities where we “check the box” and feel good about ourselves. These days are invitations from our King to meet with Him and experience His love for us, and to honor Him and receive grace and fresh revelation to enter into this new season! We look forward to seeing you on Friday evening!

The dates for the Fall Feasts:

Friday Sept.15th @6:30pm; YOM TERUAH (ROSH HaSHANA) The Dwelling Place

Shabbat Sept 2, 2023

Shabbat Shalom!

We have been on “assignment" this week. Some would call them Prophetic acts or just kingdom business. Either way, it is something Millie and I have been engaged in for many years in various places in the world. It is when you DO something that you sense God has asked you to DO. And as you are doing, you pray, make proclamations and decrees, take communion and seal the work in Ruach HaKodesh. We were given a packet of dirt/sand from 4 locations that were very significant in historic events that advanced the Kingdom of God (Cape Henry; Red River Meeting House, Wales, and the Mount of Olives). We prayed and asked Father where we were to “plant the dirt” and He made it very clear to Millie and I that we were to go to 2 specific places. On Wednesday we took some dirt to Gateway on Mt. Zion Church at the top of Lookout Mountain, the western gate into the Denver/Front Range region. Today (Friday), we brought the rest of the dirt to Church In The City/Beth Abraham and buried it where the “cornerstone” is with the engraving from Psalm 118:22, “The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone.” Many of you know that this church was originally one of the oldest Orthodox synagogues in the city built in 1921, it is also the geographic center of Denver! And, it is the place where Millie and I ministered when we first came to Colorado 15 years ago! Both of these assignments were incredible and we do believe there will be a mighty move of God, in our people and in our region!

This Shabbat September 2nd(hard to believe its September!) we will of course be meeting at The Dwelling Place, 16800 W. 9th AveGolden, 80401at 11am. We will be continuing with the theme of INTIMACY; GOD’S WAY OF ADVANCING THE KINGDOM with a message about the connection between intimacy, revelation and the power of God! This will be an important message so it will be important to be there or if you can’t, tune in on livestream  with our YouTube channel. We will have an Oneg following the service, so bring a dish and stay for fellowship!

The dates for the Fall Feasts:

Friday Sept.15th @6:30pm; YOM TERUAH (ROSH HaSHANA) The Dwelling Place

Saturday Sept.16th @4pm; Concert with Beckah Shae! Castlewood Canyon Church, Franktown; NO MORNING SHABBAT SERVICE!

Sunday Sept.24th @6:30pmKOL NIDRE YOM KIPPUR SERVICE; The Dwelling Place

Friday-Sunday Sept.29th-Oct 1st; SUCCOTH CELEBRATION WITH BILL BULLOCK!; Castlewood Canyon Church , Franktown

And, don’t forget Paul Wilbur will be at Gateway on MT. Zion for a concert on Saturday evening September 9th at 6:30pm. The address is: 166 S. Lookout Mt. Rd. Golden, 80401.

Also, many have asked how they can give through our different donation methods…You can go to our Or Chaim Congregation website https://www.or-chaim.com  and at MENU, go to GIVING AND TITHING and simply click the DONATE button and follow the prompts. I know it’s summer and many of us have travel and holiday plans, but it is SO important to gather together with the Mishpacha as often as you can! The writer of Hebrews states, "AND DO NOT NEGLECT OUR OWN MEETINGS, AS IS THE HABBIT OF SOME, BUT ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER — AND ALL THE MORE AS YOU SEE THE DAY APPROACHING.”

Shabbat Aug 19, 2023 surprise guests from Israel!

I am just loving my summer up on Monument summit! Temperatures are cooler than in the city and the views of the Front Range are gorgeous! As I mentioned in a recent blog, it helps me to get my perspective focused on Kingdom, as opposed to the insanity of this fallen world we are living in. As I write this morning, we are now in the month of Elul, the season that the King is in the field beckoning us to prepare to meet with Him. We are anticipating the sound of the Shofar, to prepare our hearts and our attitudes to gather for the Fall festivals, which remind us that Yeshua our eternal King, will be returning triumphantly to dwell with us and set up His millennial kingdom!

Join us this Shabbat August 19th as we gather at 11am at the Dwelling Place to worship together as His Mishpacha! We have special guests joining us from Israel! NO LIVE-STREAMING AFTER WORSHIP so you will want to attend to get a hot off the press update!

The address is 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401. You will truly be blessed, and it is a great opportunity to “recharge your batteries” as we hear what God is doing in our lives, worship together and celebrate Yeshua, and share the wonderful good news that our God reigns! Following the service, we will have a potluck Oneg, so bring a dish to share and stay for fellowship! I want to share some important events so that you can put them in your calendar, as we are coming into a busy time of the year. We are producing a flyer that will have all the events and hopefully it will be ready soon.

On Shabbat September 2nd, Ron and Elana Cantor will be with us for the morning service. They will give us an update on what God is doing in Israel and, believe me, you will not want to miss this! On Saturday evening September 9th, Paul Wilbur will be at Gateway on Mt. Zion Church at 6:30pm! We would suggest getting there as soon as the doors open to get a seat and invite your friends to this special concert, he will also be ministering at their church service on the morning of September 10th at 10am. These events are free.

Here are the dates and times for the Fall Mo’adim (Feasts):

Friday September 15th EREV YOM TERUAH SERVICE (Feast of Trumpets) 6:30pmat The Dwelling Place

Shabbat September 16th NO MORNING SERVICE! Becka Shea concert at Castlewood Canyon Church 4pm. 389 Castlewood Canyon Rd, Franktown 80116

Sunday September 24thEREV YOM KIPPUR KOL NIDRE SERVICE (Day of Atonement) 6:30pm at The Dwelling Place

Friday September 29th - Sunday October 1stSUCCOTH CELEBRATION WITH BILL BULLOCK! Castlewood Canyon Church, Franktown

As I said, this is a busy season that we are gearing up for! However, the last thing we want to do is get caught up in the “busyness” so much that we miss the whole point of these gatherings, TO BE WITH OUR GLORIOUS KING!

80132  Again, we look forward to seeing all of you this Shabbat.

Shabbat Shalom!

Just a short update today, as we have returned home from an all-day meeting. Join us this Shabbat as we welcome Messianic recording artist Ted Pearce to our Congregation! Ted has become a good friend to us over the years and we are honored to have him, as he has travelled all over the world sharing about God’s heart and His love for His people! Our service begins at 11am, and we are meeting at The Dwelling Place; 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401. This would be a great service to invite your friends and family to, as Ted has a very unique and engaging way of sharing the message of the Kingdom, to the Jew and to the Gentile!

We will have a potluck Oneg following the service, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP! Our dance team will be doing outreach on the 16th StreetMall in the afternoon,  so come on out and join them and talk to folks about our wonderful Yeshua!

Again, we look forward to seeing all of you this Shabbat. I know it’s summer and many of us have travel and holiday plans, but it is SO important to gather together with the Mishpacha as often as you can! Shabbat Aug 5, 2023

Shalom Mishpacha!

Do you ever get frustrated or discouraged when you don’t see immediate answers to prayer? You have been asking Father for healing in a particular area or that your family would be saved or a marriage would be put back together. These are the times when we exercise our faith by trusting: trusting in His Word and His character; His specific promises to you; and remembering what He has done in the past and STAND! Think about Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David and so many more who waited, sometimes for decades, to see the promise or prayer come to pass. There are so many scriptures to meditate on like Psalm 37:7, “Be still before Adonai and wait patiently.” I truly believe we are in a season when we will be seeing answers to prayers that we have been asking for a long time!

We would like to put out an invitation to you for a special time of commissioning for the Colorado GOP that will be taking place tomorrow, August 4th at The Rock Church in Castle Rock. This is the first time that this has taken place to my knowledge. Several State Legislators have asked to have church leaders pray over them as they prepare for the upcoming 2024 session. It will be between 4-5pm and the address is: 4881 Cherokee Dr, Castle Rock, 80109. It is time that our State government returns back to it’s purpose of representing the people out of a desire to see righteousness and justice lifted up in our State House!

This Shabbat August 5th we will be meeting at the Dwelling Place at 11am to worship and enjoy this special day together! We will continuing on the theme, A JOURNEY WITH THE RUACH HAKODESH with a message about The Power of Prayer! We all know there is value in prayer, but what would happen if we all, with passion and conviction, came TOGETHER to see God’s purposes become a reality on planet earth today? I believe we would see the salvation of Israel and Yeshua’s triumphant return even in our life time! WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP! Our address is 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401.

Remember, on Shabbat August 12th we will be having as a special guest, Messianic recording artist Ted Pearce! This will be a great opportunity to bring a guest to hear some awesome music that extolls the name of Yeshua! Also, be in prayer for us as we plan for the Fall Feasts of The Lord, beginning with Rosh HaShana (Yom Teruah) on Friday eveningSeptember 15th. We will be giving more information as we get closer.

Shabbat July 29, 2023 Special Guest Rep. Stephanie Luck CO State Legislature

Shabbat Shalom!

I love to spend my summer mornings sitting on my deck, watching the geese and the deer and the hummingbirds, doing their ‘thing’, seemingly without a care in the world. The view of the lake and the peek remind me that our Faithful God who created all of this beauty, is still on His throne and in spite of all that is happening in the world around us, He loves and cares for us still! My response to all of this has to be, “Thank you, Father, I love you too!” Millie and I want to encourage you to carve out that special time during your busy days to read a Psalm and a devotion, talk to Yeshua and just marvel at how wonderful He is and thank Him for all the great things that He has done!

This Shabbat July 29th we will welcome to Or Chaim Representative Stephanie Luck, who is a member of the Colorado State Legislature. She is not your typical “politician”, but a constitutionalist and a patriot, who above all else is a strong lover of the Messiah! As I have gotten to know Stephanie over the last few years , I have seen someone who will not be compromised on her values and will fight for righteousness and justice in our state government. We have prayed together on the steps of the Capitol, and her stand on life for the unborn and many other important issues has been very refreshing and encouraging to many of us. Come on out this Shabbat and invite a friend to come with you! We are meeting at The Dwelling Place, 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401 at 11am. WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

Some upcoming events to put on your calendar: Messianic musician and friend of Or Chaim, Ted Pearce, will be with us on Shabbat August 12th for a worship concert! On Sunday September 10th, Paul Wilbur will be at Gateway on Mount Zion at 10am. Also, Yom Teruah (Rosh HaShana) and the Fall feasts are right around the corner, starting on Friday evening September 15th! We will be giving you more information as we get closer, but we will be joining with Castlewood Canyon Church during Succoth with our dear friend, Bill Bullock.

Again, we look forward to seeing all of you this Shabbat. I know it’s summer and many of us have travel and holiday plans, but it is SO important to gather together with the Mishpacha as often as you can! The writer of Hebrews states, "AND DO NOT NEGLECT OUR OWN MEETINGS, AS IS THE HABBIT OF SOME, BUT ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER — AND ALL THE MORE AS YOU SEE THE DAY APPROACHING.”

Shabbat July 22, 2023

Shabbat Shalom!

We were reading today of the testimony of a well known Christian leader who came to understand the centrality of Israel and the covenant God made with them only recently. When he began to “connect the dots” between the promisees made to the Israelites in the Torah and the Prophets, he was able to see the re-gathering of the Jewish people to Israel, eventually to the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 as a fulfillment of God’s covenant purposes! Millie and I want to encourage all of you to continue to pray and whenever possible to teach to your church friends and family about Adonai’s plans for the nations in these end days, and the key role that Israel plays in this! As I have said many times, as we call out for revival in our state, region and nation, it is imperative that the Ecclesia needs to have the revelation of Romans 1:16: “For I am not ashamed of the Good News, FOR IT IS THE POWER OF GOD FOR SALVATION TO EVERYONE WHO TRUSTS — TO THE JEW FIRST AND ALSO TO THE GREEK.” Let’s be bold in our sharing of the Good News as we hasten the return of Yeshua our King!

We have entered into the Hebrew month of Av. Historically it has been a time of catastrophe for the Jewish people: the evil report of the 10 Israelite spies; the destruction of both Temples; beginning of the Inquisition; expulsion of all Jews from England and key events during the Holocaust and so many more. It is often referred to as the “Dire Straits”, and it is a great opportunity to pray for blessing and abundance for the Jewish people and the Land! This Shabbat July 22ndI will be continuing the theme of A journey with Ruach HaKodesh: Intimacy, Signs and Transformation with a very timely message entitled Connection between Purity, Power and Presence. My question to all of you is, do you believe God wants to manifest His power in and through us?? Im not talking about weird experiences that are extra-Biblical, but the unique and dynamic power of God that changes situations! Come on out this shabbat and join with us as we worship God together! WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND ENJOY FELLOWSHIP TOGETHER!

As we enter into the mid-summer, we are already beginning to plan our High Holy Days services for the Fall. Also, Paul Wilbur will be at Gateway on Mt. Zion on September 10th, Beckah Shae will be at Castlewood Canyon Church on September 16th, and we will be having The Rabbi’s Son, Bill Bullock with us for Succoth! We will be giving you more information about all of these events and the locations, as we get closer. We definitely sense that during these feasts, there will be awesome visitations from the Lord!

Shabbat July 1, 2023

Shabbat Shalom!

It’s so good to be back home after a wonderful Tikkun Leadership and Family Conference in Maryland! Along with David and Laura Aronstein, we were challenged with messages with the theme of “HINENI”, and with what we believe God is saying to us in the Messianic movement worldwide. Overall, I would say that what we heard loud and clear is that we are in the end days, and it is vitally important to be proactive in our efforts to reach the lost and hurting with the Good News of Messiah, especially among the Jewish people! Millie and I were able to share about the initiatives we are involved in here in our region and in Africa, and it was well received by all who attended. These are truly the “Days of Elijah” as the classic song goes, “Declaring the Word of The Lord”, as we boldly and confidently cry “Prepare ye the way for The Lord!” We look forward to catching up with you all this Shabbat!

This Shabbat July1 st as we gather at the Dwelling Place at 11am, I will be starting a new series of messages entitled A JOURNEY WITH RUACH HAKODESH: INTIMACY, SIGNS AND TRANSFORMATION. The address is 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401. If we really believe that these days are significant, than we will need to engage more with the PERSON of Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) and honor our King by getting out of our comfort zones! Remember, we serve a triune God (Elohim), a Father, His only begotten Son Yeshua, and The Ruach that lives inside us. I am excited about this journey and know you will be blessed by this series! WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

A reminder, next Shabbat July 8th, we will have a Havdalah service at 5pm at our home! So, after the morning service, WE WILL NOT We will grill burgers and kosher hotdogs so please bring sides like potato/macaroni salads, green salads, fruit, beans (without pork!), chips and desserts and whatever else your heart desires to bring! These are great times of fellowship, food and closing out the Shabbat and getting us ready for the week ahead! When you come to our place, you will notice a blue dumpster on the left, please park in the spaces provided just north of it and across the way. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can play some Horseshoes at the pit! We would encourage you to carpool down here, as it is a bit of a drive.

Also, many have asked how they can give through our different donation methods…You can go to our Or Chaim Congregation website https://www.or-chaim.com  and at MENU, go to GIVING AND TITHING and simply click the DONATE button and follow the prompts. Shabbat June 10, 2023

Shabbat Shalom!

Last night as we were driving home from our friends, we were treated to an amazing light show as all around us there were constant flashes of lightning among these incredibly dark clouds. We all love fireworks displays and are in awe on July 4th when we watch them explode in the sky, but when the God of the universe puts on His display over a whole region, there are no words! As we look around at all of the craziness, injustice and downright perversion that is being unleashed in the world today, we need to be encouraged by what the Word of the God says in Romans 8, “Who shall separate us from love of Messiah? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?” Many of us have felt like there has been too much of an onslaught of adversities, challenges, bad reports and discouragements that have come upon you in recent days. You may be even asking, "God, are you still bending your ear to listen to your children?” I can imagine Abraham, Joseph, Moses and Job asking this question at certain points in their lives! All I know is this, I have learned and always need to be reminded of the rest of the passage in Romans 8, “… BUT IN ALL THESE THINGS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM WHO LOVED US.” When we persevere and put our trust in the love of Messiah IN THE MIDST OF THESE THINGS, then we are actually more than a conquerors and in a position where we can experience His love to a greater degree!

This Shabbat June 10th we will again be having a very special time at Or Chaim as we welcome Chanan and Nechama Wiseman from Israel to share with us! We met them many years ago and they are truly a gift to the body of Messiah in the land! Chanan is wonderful teacher who brings the Word of God to life. Nechama is the daughter of Messianic Jewish pioneer Eliezer Urbach who actually started the first Messianic Congregation in Denver many years ago, and she is the sister of Chaim Urbach who was the rabbi of Yeshuat Tzion. They will share on how to talk about Yeshua with our Jewish friends and neighbors. Do you know that there are almost 100, 000 Jewish people who live in the Denver metro area? OUR SERVICE WILL BEGIN AT 11AM (NOT AT 10:30 AS WAS ORIGINALLY SENT)! WE ARE MEETING AT THE DWELLING PLACE, 16800 W.9TH AVE GOLDEN, 80401. After the morning service, we will have a potluck Oneg, so bring a dish to share and enjoy fellowship with the Mishpacha! In the afternoon starting at about 2pm, they will be sharing eye witness stories of the birth of the Messianic movement along with the birth  of the nation of Israel! This will be a wonderful day and a great opportunity to invite friends and family to hear about what our Messianic Jewish movement is all about! We look forward to seeing you all this Shabbat!

Shabbat June 3, 2023 Special guest from Israel Sally Shiff

Shabbat. Shalom!

As we gathered last Sunday evening to close out the Isaiah 62 prayer/fast for Israel, we were hearing reports of steady rain in Jerusalem. Usually, not a big deal, but as someone who lived in the Land for many years, IT NORMALLY DOES NOT RAIN IN LATE MAY! We had just been singing “Let it Rain” when we heard this amazing report, do you think The Lord was saying “I will rain on my people with My Presence?” A resounding YES! For 21 days, millions of people all over the world were praying for what is on God’s heart, that His people will cry out to Yeshua as their Messiah! We are beginning to hear reports of what is happening and it is encouraging, to know that His people are opening their hearts to His lovingkindness and being re-grafted back into Him! I just want to exhort you to continue to pray for Israel and the Jewish people, as well as ALL the peoples of the Middle East, as we are in the last days that Joel prophesied about: “I WILL POUR OUT MY RUACH ON ALL FLESH: YOUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS WILL PROPHESY, YOUR OLD MEN WILL DREAM DREAMS, YOUR YOUNG MEN WILL SEE VISIONS. ALSO ON THE MALE AND FEMALE SERVANTS WILL I POUR OUT MY SPIRIT IN THOSE DAYS … I WILL SHOW WONDERS IN THE HEAVENS AND ON THE EARTH … BEFORE THE GREAT AND AWESOME DAY OF ADONAI COMES. Just today I was walking through our little park here in Monument and I saw about 10 young men about High School age having a Bible study and praying, and I was so encouraged to see this generation on fire for the things of God!

This Shabbat June 3rd we will have a special Shabbat service as we welcome a dear friend from Israel, Sally Shiff to share what is happening in the Land. She lives in Kfar Saba, a city outside of Tel Aviv, and is part of a dynamic Congregation that is doing Kingdom things in the Land! Come on out and be encouraged in what Father God is doing in Israel. She has been used by God to help settle new immigrants in the land arriving from war-torn Ukraine. WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP! As we are continuing to intercede for what Father wants to do in Israel, please pray for divine protection over the Messianic community in the land, as there has been violence committed against some of our friends by those who oppose the message of Yeshua the Messiah.

As we are heading into summer, we want to start having a monthly Havdallah celebration to close out the Shabbat! Millie and I would like to host a special Havdallah on July 8th at our new house! We have been waiting for some good weather so we can invite our Mishpacha out and celebrate with us! We will not have Oneg that day, and will meet at 4:30pm for a picnic style meal, worship and an awesome service to close out the Shabbat! We will provide the meat, if everyone will bring a side dish, salad and Dessert.

Also, many have asked how they can give through our different donation methods…You can go to our Or Chaim Congregation website https://www.or-chaim.com  and at MENU, go to GIVING AND TITHING and simply click the DONATE button and follow the prompts. Shavuot 2023

Chag Shavuot Sameach!

A joyous and blessed Feast of Shavuot to all of you! The counting of the Omer is complete, it’s been 7 full weeks (50 days) since Passover and it's the season of bringing FIRST FRUITS before the Lord! It is one of the “Big 3” as far as the Biblical feasts, and a special time of gathering and celebration. Traditionally and according to the Scriptures, B’nei Yisrael were to bring the choicest and the best of their crops to Jerusalem, the early harvest of wheat, and present them before The Lord so that they would experience an abundant harvest. I would encourage all of you to ASK OUR FAITHFUL FATHER WHAT YOU ARE TO BRING BEFORE HIM ON THIS SPECIAL SHABBAT! As Millie and I have learned over the years, when we give out of what God has blessed us with, it is never about a specific financial amount, but about obedience and a heart of thankfulness and gratitude that blesses God and in turn becomes a blessing to us! Sowing into the Kingdom harvest in these end days is about souls being saved, set free and set apart to walk into the awesome callings that He has for us all! The Kingdom harvest is here locally, in our families, in Israel and into the nations! This is a season of generous giving and joy in the Ruach HaKodesh!

This Shabbat May 27th we will be celebrating Shavuot at our Service at 11am at the Dwelling Place. The address is 16800 W. 9th Ave Golden, 80401 so come on out for this special day! We will be having a beautiful presentation of the BOOK OF RUTH, by our incredibly anointed dance team led by David and Laura Aronstein! This particular book is traditionally read at Shavuot, as it is a beautiful love story set at the time of the wheat harvest in Bethlehem. This is a presentation for the whole family and your neighbors as well, so invite your entire neighborhood! WE WILL HAVE AN ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

This Sunday May 28th we will be participating in a regional gathering to conclude the 21 day Isaiah 62 prayer and fast for Israel and the Jewish people! For the last 3 weeks many of us have been “standing on the wall” interceding for God’s people and will come together that evening at 7pm at CHURCH IN THE CITY/BETH ABRAHAM, 1580 N Gaylord St Denver, 80206, to hear testimonies, worship the King, and share Communion together! All are welcome to this special event so come on out and celebrate!

Shabbat 9/20/2023

Shabbat Shalom!

In my almost 15 years of living in Colorado, this is certainly the rainiest Spring I’ve experienced. According to the records, it is the 10th rainiest May in the history of the State! We definitely need the water, but for some of our Mishpacha, it has been too much at one time and they have experienced severe flooding. Please pray for those in our Congregation who have been hit with flooding and need to make repairs and decisions regarding their housing! Interesting, as we have been praying for the salvation of Israel for the last few weeks, a colleague of ours in Jerusalem said they are feeling our prayers and it is like “water coming up from the ground overwhelming them!” As we are experiencing these Spring rains, let’s continue to pray that the water of the Ruach will flow over the land and it’s people!

This is a significant time and this weekend is especially important. This evening, Friday May 19th, I will be leading a special Erev Shabbat service at Rez Anglican Church from 6-8pm. The address is 9250 E. Belleview Ave, Greenwood Village, 80111.This will be a special time as we welcome the Shabbat, pray for Israel and worship our King Yeshua! This is what ‘One New Man’ looks like, Jew and Gentile coming together to pray for what is on God’s heart! Our friend Simon Obert will be leading our worship tonight so all are welcome and come prepared to saturate Heaven with our prayer and worship!

This Shabbat May 20th we will be having our Or Chaim Shabbat service at 11am at the Dwelling Place in Golden. The address is 16800 W. 9th Ave, Golden, 80401. We will again be joining with millions of others praying for Israel and the Jewish people. Also, we will continue the series on HOW TO PRAY AGAINST THE EVIL SPIRITS OPERATING IN OUR LAND. We will be looking specifically at the spirit of fear and how to cast it out of our lives! Come on out and enjoy the Presence of Adonai together and worship Him on the Shabbat! WE WILL HAVE AN ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

This Sunday May 21st is the monthly Aglow Lighthouse gathering at the Dwelling Place! Millie and I, along with our dear friends Tom and Teresa Craig will be leading our time of sharing about what is happening in the Middle East and praying for Arabs and Jews to know their Messiah! We will be meeting between 3-6pm, so bring some finger foods to share for fellowship. We will also have Brittany Randazzo leading our worship for us! The 21 day Isaiah 62 Prayer/Fast will conclude on Sunday May 28th (Shavuot) at Church In The City/Beth Abraham from 7-10pm. All are invited for this very special event as we share The Lord’s supper together, and hear reports about what God is doing, and pray for the incredible outpouring that is taking place! The address for CITC/BA is 1580 N.Gaylord St, Denver, 80206. Folks from all over the State will be coming together for this time of worship, prayer, thanksgiving and fellowship. GOD IS MOVING!

Also, many have asked how they can give through our different donation methods…You can go to our Or Chaim Congregation website https://www.or-chaim.com  and at MENU, go to GIVING AND TITHING and simply click the DONATE button and follow the prompts. Shabbat May 13, 2023

Shabbat Shalom!

Spring rains are good and we here in dry Colorado definitely need this moisture! However, over the last 48 hours or so, some folks even in our Congregation, are experiencing flooding in their homes! Please pray for them as they dry their homes and belongings out! These are times when we as a community need one another to come alongside to help out in carrying one another’s burdens!

We at Or Chaim have joined with millions of others around the world to pray for the salvation of Israel. About 500 people from around the State came together last weekend in Pagosa Springs for an intense time of prayer and strategizing to reach the lost sheep of Israel! Many of us are fasting and setting aside specific times of intercession, as we sense that this is from God’s heart and will be key in seeing the triumphant return of Yeshua Ha Massiach to Jerusalem! Why should we pray for Israel? Many people are asking that question and it would be easy to just say “because God tells us to”, and this is true. However, we pray for Israel because our Heavenly Father entered into covenant with this people and set His love on them (Deut.7:7-8), and has promised in the last days that He will fulfill covenant with them and that they will be saved (Rom.11:25-27)! In the same chapter of Romans it says that their acceptance of Messiah will be “life from the dead!” We want to see revival in America and in Israel and in all the nations, so when we pray what’s on the heart of God, we can expect Him to move in a mighty way. Also, we know that Satan will stir up God’s enemies to bring intimidation, fear and calamity. That is what is happening as I write this today, literally hundreds of rockets are being fired into Israel from Gaza. Be in prayer and also pray for those who are Israel’s enemies that they will have an encounter with the God who loves His people!

Come on out to Or Chaim meeting at the Dwelling Place this Shabbat May 13th at 11am as we celebrate Shabbat together! We are located at 16800 W.9th Ave, Golden 80401. I have been sharing in the last few weeks about the demonic spirits operating in our land, and how to pray against them. Also, I want to begin a ‘midrash’ (Biblically based discussion) on what does a Messianic Jewish Congregation look like and how do we relate to the Ecclesia (Church) in our community and region? We will not be able to conclude a discussion like that in one service, but I want us to be able to start to articulate this because of its importance. WE WILL HAVE AN ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A BIBLICALLY APPROPRIATE (no pork or seafood!) DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP AFTER THE SERVICE! Keep in mind, some are in various fasts, so soups, salads, fruit and veggies would be great! Also we will not be able to stream our services this Shabbat.

Also, many have asked how they can give through our different donation methods…You can go to our Or Chaim Congregation website https://www.or-chaim.com  and at MENU, go to GIVING AND TITHING and simply click the DONATE button and follow the prompts.
