Shabbat 9/15/2017

Shabbat Shalom!

This Shabbat, September 16th, we will be continuing our series on Romans, as we we study chapter 4. The message is entitled "LIFE FROM THE DEAD", as we look at the life of Abraham, and how it has always been God's way that we walk by faith and not let circumstances determine our path! WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE,  SO BRING A DISH AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

Next Shabbat 9/23, we will be having "Midrash" during our morning service. Because of the season, being in the middle of the 10 Days Of Awe, the subject will be "The Feasts of The Lord and the New Covenant". Be prepared with questions you may have, also, I encourage you to read Leviticus 23, which introduces the Moadim (appointed times) as well as other relevant scriptures. This is a great opportunity to ask questions of the elders and discuss these important "kingdom calendar" days and dialogue on how we are to experience them under the New Covenant! You might even wonder if it is appropriate to even keep these special days or are they done away with...or only for the Jews, etc. Come, let's reason together and search the scriptures!

Shabbat 9/9/2017

Shabbat Shalom!

Millie and I were blessed to attend the Chris Tomlin concert at Red Rocks the other night. What a fabulous time of worship to our God, along with 10,000 others! Also, it was a vivid picture of what it will be like when all the Saints of God, from every nation, will gather around HIS throne, gazing in awe upon the beauty of our God!

Last Shabbat, we prayed for the residents of Texas in the aftermath of Harvey. What an incredibly destructive storm! We prayed for the victims and had an had opportunity to give, in practical ways, towards their recovery. This week we are again transfixed by another monster storm, Hurricane Irma, getting ready to slam Florida. I am not one of those “doomsday prophets”, telling everyone that this is judgement upon America, but I am saying “Believer, keep your eyes on Yeshua, because He is our ROCK in times of trouble!” Pray! Encourage! Give! What an opportunity to be HIS hands and feet in the midst of natural disaster, and speak words of life and blessing to those impacted already and those who can potentially lose everything. Many of us have family and friends in the areas hit by these storms, let’s all keep them in prayer and ask the Lord how we can help!

Join us this Shabbat, September 9, as we gather to “Remember and Observe”, as God has commanded us to do on this Holy day. In our Torah service we read His words and proclaim His promises, and we worship the King of Kings, because HE IS WORTHY! Frank Sussler, board member of Tikkun America, and a Congregational leader from Milwaukee, Wi. will be joining us during the service. THERE WILL BE AN ONEG POTLUCK FOLLOWING THE SERVICE.

UPCOMING DATES FOR FALL FEASTS!

EREV ROSH HASHANA (YOM TERUAH): WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH, 7PM AT OR CHAIM CONGREGATION

EREV YOM KIPPUR (KOL NIDRE SERVICE): FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH, 7PM, AT OR CHAIM CONGREGATION

YOM KIPPUR BREAK-FAST (ENDING FAST): SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH, 5PM, HOME OF LARRY AND JOYCE LARSON, GOLDEN

Donations for Texas

Shalom,

As we prayed yesterday at congregation for the people of South Texas, we also mentioned possibilities to practically help those who have lost so much. Sharee Morris mentioned that her company, Johnson Moving and Storage, is loading a 53 foot trailer to bring to the Houston area next week. If you have items that you would like to donate, we are trying to work out a central location to meet up, and load a pickup truck, to bring to Centennial. We will meet at 11am, in the southeast portion of the Home Depot parking lot, at Wadsworth and I70. PLEASE CALL OR TEXT ME AT: (720)300-8342, AND LET ME KNOW BY 8PM MONDAY, IF YOU WILL BE BRINGING DONATIONS.
Suggestions for items: bottled water, toilet paper and paper towels; baby wipes; diapers; baby formula; towels; under clothing; blankets; toiletries etc.
And remember, pray for the folks effected by the worst national disaster in recent history! Thank you, Father, for the opportunity to help those in need, and to be the hands and feet of Yeshua!
Blessings and Shalom!
Stew & Millie

Shabbat 9/2/2017

Shalom Mishpacha!

I am sure many of you have been transfixed this week watching the devastation wracking Houston and Southeast Texas. Like Millie and I, you were probably thinking "what can I do to help?" Well, we have a very practical way we can help immediately. Sharee Morris works for Johnson Moving and Storage, and they have a 53 foot tractor trailer heading to Houston next week. Some of the items being donated are: paper towels, toilet paper; cases of Gatorade; wet wipes, items such  as these. Please no glass or combustible material (like batteries). You can bring items to their facility at 7009 S. Jordan Rd. Centennial; They are closed Sunday and Monday, and open on Tuesday from 8am-5pm for deliveries. Also, if you are interested in sending money donations, reputable organizations such as Samaritans Purse, Jewish Voice, Messianic Jewish Bible Institute, and Baruch HaShem congregation in Dallas are working in the disaster areas. If you are not able to take donations to the warehouse, bring them on Shabbat and we will get them there. Keep Texas in your prayer!!!

This Shabbat, September 2nd (already?), we will be continuing our series on the book of Romans, finishing out chapter 3. Have you ever been so full of guilt and condemnation that you felt like you were drowning, and wondering where is God? This week we will learn how to live "Guilt Free!" Join us and invite someone who may be struggling in this area! We will have a potluck Oneg following the service, so bring a dish and stay for the fellowship!

Remember, our special Yom Teruah service will be Wednesday, September 20th at 7pm, and our Yom Kippur service is Friday, September 29th at 7pm.

See you on Shabbat!

Shabbat 8/26/2017

Shabbat Shalom!

We had a wonderful time last Shabbat, as the Ruach led us into an anointed time of intercession for our nation. We are now in the Hebrew month of Elul, traditionally a time of T'Shuva (turning or repentance), before the Fall High Holidays, it was appropriate that The Lord changed my plans to His. What a powerful time we had! So, this Shabbat, Lord willing, we will explore the Ministry of the Torah in our lives, as we continue to explore Paul's letter to the Romans.

Also, all are invited to the "Rocky Mountain Camp meeting", at Gateway On Mt. Zion this Friday-Sunday, August 25th-27th. The Saturday session does not begin till 3pm, so enjoy Shabbat, stay for our potluck Oneg, and join with the camp meeting! The prophetic speakers, including Jeff Collins, will be sharing about revival, and what is happening in our world today. There is no cost for this event.

I want to encourage you to come on up to the mountain on Shabbat, join with the 'Mishpacha', and worship the King!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 8/19/2017

Shabbat Shalom!

At the end of a week like this, we know why The Holy One made Shabbat! An exhortation to rest in Him, remember all the wonderful things He has done for us, and observe His awesome commandments. In a week where we have seen the ugliness of domestic terrorism and hatred in Charlottesville, to Islamic terrorism in Barcelona, we are seeing a world that is adrift in lawlessness and unparalleled division. It is clear, there is no hope, no peace, no answers, outside of a relationship with, and surrender to Yeshua, HaSar Shel Shalom (Jesus, the Prince of Peace!) Yeshua says in John 14, “My shalom I give to you, but not as the world gives! Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid”. The Torah portion this week is appropriate, ‘Re’eh’, which means basically ‘Behold’. to gaze intently from His perspective, beyond my earth-bound view of things. Be encouraged in Him, a solar eclipse is coming!

You don’t want to miss our Shabbat service this week, August 19th, at 10:30am! The presence of God has been powerful recently (actually, it usually is!), and we will be continuing our study of Rav Shaul’s (Paul's) letter to the Romans by looking at the wonderful “Ministry of The Torah”. As you can imagine, there is much mis-understanding regarding this subject, so come prepared to be challenged! WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH AND ENJOY THE FELLOWSHIP!

After you view the solar eclipse taking place on Monday, August 21st, come and join us as we go to the 16th Street Mall, downtown, to bless, pray for people, and see God invade Denver! If you can make it, we meet at the fountain in front of Union Station at 7pm. See you there!

We so look forward to seeing everybody this Shabbat! Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 8/12/2017

Shabbat shalom!

Well, we are in the middle of the Hebrew month of Av, which means Elul is just around the corner! Why am I reminding us about this? According to the “calendar of the kingdom”, Elul is the month of preparation of our hearts through repentance in readiness for the High Holy Days from Yom Teruah (Rosh Hashana) through Yom Kippur. Wow, hard to believe these special days are coming up so quickly! I love how The Holy One is so intentional about these special times of the year, and directs us to prepare for them, like a loving Father would do with a son looking forward to a Bar Mitzvah or a wedding. They are not just random days thrown haphazardly into some obscure, obsolete calendar! As we open our hearts, seeks right alignment with our heavenly Father, expect God to reveal more of Himself to you. Ask him, in preparation for the Fall Appointed Times, to show attitudes, behaviors, mindsets, and fears that are contrary to His Kingdom values and purposes, and trust Him for deliverance!

Because of our special guest last week, I will be starting a series on the epistle of Romans this Shabbat, August 12th. I am excited about what Father has been showing me in this dynamic and incredibly important book. Not only is it important, it is also one of the most misunderstood letters in the scriptures. We want to explore how Rav Shaul, a Torah observant  lawyer/Pharisee masterfully lays out the key doctrine of righteousness by faith. It’s not just another theology to stimulate the intellect, but it is dynamic and transforming! Our service begins at 10:30am, AND WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

Please, do put on your calendar that Yom Teruah begins on Wednesday evening, September 20th, and we will be having an Erev Yom Teruah service at Or Chaim (located at Gateway on Mt Zion) at 7pm. Our Yom Kippur Kol Nidre service will be Friday evening, September 29th, at 7pm, same location. We have our  mid-week Torah/Bible study on Wednesday evenings at Terry and Lynne McDowells’ home at 7pm. These are great times of study and Midrash and everyone is welcome!

Look forward to seeing you all this Shabbat!

Shabbat 8/5/2017

As I write this I am sitting on the deck of some old friends overlooking the Puget Sound in Olympia, Washington. Millie and I have taken a few days to visit our old stomping grounds and say hello to some folks who were instrumental in our early years as Believers. It's been over 10 years since we have been here, so it has been an awesome time! We return on Friday and are looking forward to seeing you all on Shabbat!

I will be introducing a new series on the book of Romans. What an incredible letter from a brilliant Pharisee/lawyer named Shaul, a Torah-observant Rabbi, who wrote of the incredible truths of the kingdom.

We will NOT have Oneg following the service because we will be having our monthly Havdalah fellowship at Patricia DeLeon's house from 5-8pm in Reunion. On Sunday, August 6th, many of us will be enjoying "Faith Day" at Coors Field as the Rockies play the Phillies, and the Newsboys will be performing in concert!

Many other things going on at Or Chaim, including Monday evening at 16th Street Mall, and Wednesday Torah study at the McDowell's home. Come and join us if you can!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 7/29/2017

Shabbat Shalom!

I want to invite and encourage you to come to Or Chaim this Shabbat as we welcome Israeli Messianic leaders Ron and Elana Cantor! Ron has served as a Pastor in Tel Aviv, and is a gifted evangelist and trainer, who has incredible testimonies of what God is doing on the streets of Israel, among Jews and Arabs! We will also be joined by Messianic musician/harpist Michael David Moon, who will be joining our worship team this Shabbat. Our service starts at 10:30am Saturday, so invite your friends and come on out and join us for a wonderful time of worship and praise, Torah service and an inspiring message from Ron, who truly is a world changer for Yeshua! Let's give generously as we take a love offering for Ron and Elana.

Following our service, stay for fellowship and a PICNIC ONEG outside the sanctuary in the recreation area. Our kitchen and fellowship hall are not available at this time as it is being updated and refurbished. Bring picnic-type foods and your own drinks, and also lawn chairs, and bring food to share! There will not be any water available so come prepared.

Also, this Shabbat we will be distributing the Rockies tickets that were purchased over the last few weeks. Praise God, almost 40 of us will be going to Faith Day on August 6th!

Don’t forget, we are having mid-week Torah study, Wednesday nights at 7pm at the McDowell's, come on out and join us for these rich times as we explore the foundations (HaYesod) of our faith! Also, the next time we will be going out on the streets will be Monday, August 7th!

Blessings and Shalom!

Miracles in Israel!

You are invited to Or Chaim Congregation this Shabbat, Saturday July 29th at 10:30 am. We are hosting special friends and incredible ministers Ron and Elana Cantor! Amazing miracles have been happening in Israel and through Ron and Elana's Ministry.  Ron is an awesome communicator who always keeps us sitting on the edge of our seats wanting more!  Recently he went on the streets of Tel Aviv with Todd White and had incredible God Encounters. You won't want to miss what God is saying and doing through Ron & Elana!  A love offering will be taken to further the ministry in Israel so come prepared to give generously!

Messianic Jewish Communicator Ron Cantor serves on the pastoral team of Tiferet Yeshua in Tel Aviv as an equipping evangelist. For the past three years he was the lead pastor. He embraced Yeshua as an 18-year-old, drug-using agnostic. He then attended CFNI in New York, and Messiah Biblical Institute, where Ron received his degree. Ron served on the pastoral team at Beth Messiah Congregation in Rockville, Maryland, before heading overseas to Ukraine and Hungary where he and his wife Elana trained nationals for Jewish Ministry. Ron then served on the faculty of the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry teaching and mentoring young leaders.

Ron travels throughout the U.S. and abroad sharing passionately on the Jewish Roots of the New Testament and God’s broken heart for His ancient people Israel. Ron has been privileged to bring the Jewish Roots message to Brazil, Ukraine, Switzerland, France, Russia, Hungary, Israel, Germany, Argentina, Cyprus, Italy, Canada, Uganda, Nigeria and of course the United States.

In June 2003, Ron and Elana returned with their three children to the Land of Israel where they now live and minister. During this time Ron has served as the associate leader of King of Kings Community in Jerusalem, as well as the interim senior leader.

Ron heads the Isaiah 2 Initiative, an Israeli based vision to see the good news go forth from Zion to other nations. In their trips to Nigeria and Ukraine they have seen tens of thousands of people profess faith in Yeshua.

Ron’s wife Elana is a passionate communicator in her own right. Elana shares from her rich experiences growing up in Israel. While she has only recently begun to speak publicly, audiences have been blessed by her compassionate style and her humorous approach.

Ron and Elana have three daughters, Sharon, Yael and Danielle.

Shabbat 7/22/2017

Shabbat Shalom!

The other day Millie & I were at a dinner meeting with other pastors and leaders discussing particular prayer movements throughout history. Most of these movements began with a desire, in a particular location, for revival and a turning from sin. Nothing wrong with that at all, but as we talked, we also had to admit that most of them seem to fizzle out over time, as they lost  their passion and impetus. As we discussed, we realized that their was a glaring, missing piece, the connection of any of these movements with the restoration of Israel! We all want to see a “John 17” unity, and yet we never quite realize it. Our discussion prompted me to explore our Messianic Jewish movement, and what the implications are of the restoration of the Tent of David in these last days. So, I will be starting a series this Shabbat, July 22, on what a healed and vibrant Messianic movement looks like in these days. Like most of us, I have heard my share of “unity” messages, and preached enough of them myself! Let’s learn together from the model we have in the Book of Acts, and work together to see Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah, proclaimed in our streets and marketplaces, as well as in our congregations!

This Shabbat, WE WILL NOT BE HAVING ONEG, DUE TO REFURBISHING OF THE KITCHEN. We will let you know about Oneg for next week.

On July 29th, we will be welcoming Ron Cantor, Israeli Messianic leader, and a passionate man of God, to Or Chaim for our Shabbat service, at 10:30am! The Lord is doing extraordinary things in Ron’s Ministry and in Israel, so you will not want to miss this service!

Don’t forget to get your Colorado Rockies Faith Day tickets this Shabbat. The game will be Sunday, August 6th, at 1:10pm, followed by a concert featuring the Newsboys. This Shabbat is the last day to get your tickets, so don’t miss out, it will be a great day!

This coming Monday evening we will once again meet at Union Station in front of the fountain to walk the 16th Street Mall releasing the Shalom and Love of Yeshua.

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 7/15/2017

Shabbat Shalom!
As I write this, it just dawned on me that this Shabbat, July15th, is the 47th anniversary of my arrival at Naval Training Center, San Diego, to begin my 4 year enlistment in the United States Navy! Wow, what a journey began that day, that continues to this day, but in a way I certainly would not expected on that mid-summer day so many years ago. Walking into God’s plan for your life, will often times take you on “twists and turns” you never would have imagined, and would make no sense at all without the benefit of hindsight. One of my life verses in Romans 8 says “… we know that God causes everything to work together FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE GOD …”! He is so faithful to pull things together in our lives, when we allow Him to. This Shabbat, I will share part 2 of a message on “Out Of Our Minds And Into God’s”, and how God will use caves and deserts to reveal destiny. We will follow our morning service with a potluck Oneg, so bring a dish to share and stay for great fellowship!

Those of you who are interested in going to the Colorado Rockies Faith Day game on Sunday August 6th, we will be collecting money this Shabbat, as we have reserved 25 seats for our congregation. It will be an incredible day, with the Rockies playing the Phillies, followed by a wonderful concert featuring The Newsboys! You can’t beat the price either, with tickets going for $16.40 each! Let’s make a day out of it, root on the Rockies and enjoy a special faith-filled concert!

I want to remind everyone of things going on during the week as part of Or Chaim Congregation: We are meeting every Wednesday evening at 7pm, at the McDowell’s house for a mid-week study on “HaYesod” (The Foundation), a DVD series on the fundamental doctrines of Torah. We will be continuing after this series with other teachings on Walking In True Biblical Grace, and “Why Still Care About Israel”, a look at the power of covenant and God’s plan for Israel and the Jewish people in these last days.

We look forward to seeing everyone this Shabbat!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 7/8/2017

Shabbat Shalom!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day holiday! Interesting, that it is the only holiday known by the date it falls on, rather than by its correct name, Independence Day. This will be a full Shabbat weekend coming up, some cool things you need to know about!

All are invited to Congregation Roi Israel this Friday night, July 7th@7pm, as Israeli Messianic worship leaders Barry and Batya Segal will be ministering in music and the Word. Come on out and join with us!

On Shabbat, July 8th, we will be gathering together for a wonderful service. Our Torah service is a beautiful time as we read from the scroll, proclaim God inspired liturgy, and serve our wonderful king! We will be continuing our theme of "THINKING LIKE HEAVEN" with a message on getting out of our minds, and into God's!

WE WILL NOT BE HAVING ONEG AFTER THE SERVICE THIS WEEK! We will be gathering at the WESTENDORF'S FARM, at 5pm, for our monthly Havdalah! It's a great time of food, fellowship, and worship, as we close out the Shabbat and begin a new week. Tom and Mary will be providing awesome roasted prime rib, so bring either a side, a salad, or a dessert, or even some chicken to go with the meat! Wear comfortable "farm" clothing (whatever that is!), and bring some bread crumbs for the chickens!

Monday July 10th we will again meet in front of Union Station at 7pm to walk, pray, and encourage.

We so look forward to seeing all of you this Shabbat! We do miss you when you aren't there!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Havdilah at WESTENDORF Farm

Happy Independence Day to all of you!

Havdilah will be held at the Westendorf Farm this coming Saturday, July 8, starting around 5pm. We will be fixing Prime Rib Roast and homemade rolls for sandwiches. We will furnish drinks, also - Arnold Palmer and lemonade (and water, of course). If you want something else, please feel free to bring enough to share.

Please let me know how many in your party will be coming , along with what you would like to bring. We're thinking we should probably have some fried chicken and some kind of chicken to make sandwiches with, potato salad, green salad, fruit salad/tray, any kind of dessert, chips, etc.

As usual, wear your old shoes if you want to be out in the yard. If you have stale bread for the chickens and ducks, feel free to bring that. They will love you forever.

I believe Michele is going to give the Havdilah set to Lynne on Friday evening. Lynne, will you bring your guitar, please? If we have any other talent in our church family, we'd love to have you join in, too!

Directions to the farm are attached. We look forward to our wonderful fellowship on Saturday evening

Blessings,

Tom and Mary

PS Oneg is cancelled this coming Shabbat. We invite everyone to participate in Havdilah!

Go east on I-70 out of Aurora.  Take the Watkins exit heading south (right), past the frontage road to the first left, which is 6th Ave.  Go about a mile to the 4-way stop and turn right.  Go one mile and take the first left onto Alameda.  Stay on that – it will curve to the right and turn into S. Bonnie Lane.  We are about ¾ mile down that road, right side, yellow ranch style house with barn mailbox.

From Quincy and E-470:  Go east about 10 miles.  When you see the first left out that far, take it.  You’ll see a large tree and a huge lighted building on the northeast corner (the building sets back a little).  Not sure what the name of the road is.  Travel north until you see E. 6th Ave. (you’ll go over a mini bridge and an area that tells of possible flooding – it’s about 5-6 miles).  Turn right onto 6th and follow directions above on in to the farm.

Shabbat 7/1/17

Shabbat Shalom!
It’s hard to believe that 2017 is half gone! What a great time to take stock of things: How is my communion with Adonai? How are my relationships with family, friends? Am I experiencing greater levels of peace, joy, fruitfulness? If we find ourselves struggling in these areas, I want to encourage you do do something radical. The writer of Hebrews exhorts us to APPROACH WITH CONFIDENCE the place of HIS PRESENCE, and continue to HOLD FAST TO THE HOPE, WITHOUT WAVERING, BECAUSE THE ONE WHO MADE THE PROMISE IS TRUSTWORTHY! Don’t give up on, or forget what God has said He would do! He is FOR YOU, NOT AGAINST YOU!

This week we will be continuing the theme of THINKING LIKE HEAVEN, and I will be sharing a message addressing the IDENTITY CRISIS many of us find ourselves in. When we have the very DNA of Yeshua running through our veins, we can no longer see ourselves in the mold that the society and the world has relegated us to. We need to start seeing ourselves as a NEW CREATION, that in fact we are THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN HIM! As I have said many times, we have a choice to believe that our past and our sins define who we are, or we can choose God’s opinion about us since the foundations of the world! After our service we will be having a potluck Oneg, so bring a dish to share, and hang around for some great fellowship.

A few of us went out to the 16th StreetMall on Monday, and we had a great time blessing our city and having some meaningful  conversations with people. Many folks allowed us to pray for them and speak blessings over them. We will be doing this on a regular basis, and want to encourage those who can to join us. Also, we are having a mid-week Torah study time at the McDowells’ home. We meet at 7pm on Wednesday, and we are now viewing the HaYesod (The Foundations) series, developed by First Fruits Of Zion. Come on out and join us!

There are many other things that are happening this summer, and some special services coming up that you won’t want to miss! Ron Cantor from Israel, and Messianic musician Michael David will be joining us on July 29th. In August, Matthew Smoller from IHOP Israel Mandate will be sharing with us. For those involved in the 1CHURCH INITIATIVE, this coming Sunday, July 2nd, we will join others throughout the State of Colorado for 24 hours of prayer, desiring to see the kingdom of God released into this region!

See you on Shabbat!

Stewart and Millie

Shabbat June 24, 2017

Shabbat Shalom!

I hope everyone is staying cool enough this week! Last Shabbat, the presence of the Lord was so powerful that we just wanted to bask in it, as long as we could! I am so looking forward to this shabbat as we gather together on this special day and serve and worship the King of Glory! We will be continuing on the theme of ‘Thinking Like Heaven’, as we begin to explore how to get rid of the fig leaves that we tend to hide behind. You don’t want to miss this weeks’ service, as we press into know Him, wait on Him, and enjoy the fellowship of the Mishpacha! We will be having a potluck Oneg following the service, so bring a dish, and enjoy the day.

Father has put on our hearts a couple of things: first of all, we have initiated a mid-week gathering to study the Torah. We are meeting at 7pm, on Wednesdays at the McDowell’s home, 50 Chase Street, Lakewood to study the DVD series entitled “HA YESOD” (The Foundation), and we have workbooks to distribute. Come on out, all are invited!

Secondly, We at Or Chaim want to reach out beyond the four walls of the congregation to a dark and dying world. We will be ‘hitting the streets” on a weekly basis. We want to speak blessing over the city, meet people who want to know God, and pray for people to be healed! We will be meeting together this Monday, June 26th, at 7pm, in front of the Union Station, in downtown Denver. Join us, and lets believe for awesome things to happen in this city!

If you haven’t been to Shabbat in a while, or maybe you have never experienced a Messianic service, come on out this week (Saturday, June 24th) at 10:30am, and bring your family and friends!

Our 2018 Bless Israel Outreach is developing and we still have about 3 seats left (we can always add more)!  If interested contact Millie at Stewnmillie@Or-Chaim.org.

Shabbat June 17, 2017

Shalom!
I want to encourage all of you to read the upcoming Torah portion, entitled “Shlach L’kha”, Numbers 13:1-15:41, meaning “Send on your behalf”. It dovetails well with what we have been looking at over the last weeks, how important it is to see ourselves the way God sees us! Who’s opinion are you going to believe?? This Shabbat, June 17th, I will be sharing about how we can arise in our thinking about God, yourselves, life, and heaven. You don’t want to miss this week! We will be having a potluck Oneg following the service, so bring a dish, and enjoy the fellowship with your mishpacha!

All of us have been rocked in the last few days to see how the rhetoric we are immersed in every day has gotten so toxic, that it eventually boiled over to the shooting of politicians, because they think differently than someone else. I think all of us can agree, this cannot continue or this country that we love will be certainly lost. As Believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we are not to live in the same way as those without hope! We know that He is the only salvation for this nation, and that we are to be faithful witnesses of the one who called us “out of darkness and into His marvelous light! When confronted with hate, violence, and intolerance, we are to respond with an overflowing abundance of love and grace, even when the easiest thing to do would be to respond in the same spirit as has just come against us. Hard to do, and I’m preaching to myself, but it is our calling in Yeshua HaMessiah, to respond in the opposite spirit, His Spirit!

I am so happy that Millie will be returning from Israel this week! She has had an awesome time and hopefully she will be able to share in the next few weeks of some of what she experienced. We look forward to seeing you all this Shabbat, and, when you aren’t there, we really do miss you!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat June 10, 2017

Shalom!

What an incredible Shavuot last weekend, as we joined with 10Days Together on Shabbat, to pray for our families, city, nation and Israel! On Sunday, we celebrated with other congregations at Central Park, with praise, dancing, great fellowship and food! Different speakers inspired and challenged us, to walk in the unity of the Spirit. A great time was had by all, and we have the sunburns to prove it!

This Shabbat, June 10th at 10:30am, join with us as we remember and observe this special day. Our Torah service exalts and glorifies God, through spirit led proclamations and discussion of the portion of the week. Our Messianic worship is directed toward our Messiah, where His presence is our greatest desire, and bondages are broken and people are healed! I will be continuing our theme on THINKING LIKE HEAVEN, with a message on "Four Roads to Arising". How do we align our thinking according to His nature and character, and how do we 'Shema' (hear) His voice. This will be an important message, you don't want to miss it.

Continue to pray for Millie and the Paul Wilbur team in Israel, and me that I can survive one more week without her! I so look forward to seeing you all on Shabbat.

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!
