Shabbat 7/11/2026 Special Guest Sally Shiff on Israel
/Shalom Family,
We are smack dab in the middle of one of the most dangerous and ominous seasons in the history of the Jewish people. In Lamentations 1:3 it says, “Judah has gone into exile under affliction and great servitude. She dwells among the nations. She finds no resting place. All her pursuers have overtaken her in the midst of her distress.”In Hebrew the term is “Bein haMetzarim” or literally “between the straits”. It is between 17th of Tammuz and 9th of Av, historically a time of great distress and tragedy marked by mourning among the Orthodox Jews. Such events as Moses throwing the 10 Words down following his return from meeting with God; the evil report of the 10 spies; and the destruction of the first and second Temples; and other terrible events throughout the centuries. Today, I believe it is no different. Israel is being abandoned and cursed by the nations, Jews are being attacked and the most hideous lies are being perpetrated against God’s people. Our universities and institutions are legitimizing full-on hatred of Israel and the Jews. Now, more than ever, we ned to be the “watchmen on the wall” calling out on behalf of Israel day and night, and giving God no rest!
As you know, I spent several days in the hospital last week dealing with an infection that became sepsis. Praise God, the infection is gone and I am healing fine, albeit with a little less of a toe than I had before! I didn’t realize how dangerous it could have become if Millie didn’t take me in to ER when she did. Yes, us guys are stubborn! Come out to Or Chaim this Shabbat July 11th as we gather together to worship our King Yeshua! Our address is 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401 and we meet at 11am. Last week many of you met at the Cornell’s property in Pine for the 4th of July and had a wonderful time (even without Millie and I!), and enjoyed wonderful fellowship with each other. WELL, TOMORROW WE ARE BACK AT THE DWELLING PLACE SO INVITE A FRIEND AND COME ON OUT! Summertime is usually our time at OCC when we focus on missions. This Shabbat we will have dear friend of ours, Sally Shiff, from Kfar Saba, Israel join us and share a timely message entitled BUILDING THE WALL, focussing on the foundation stones needed today to see the Gospel of the Kingdom penetrate Israel and the nations. WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP.
You can give your First Fruits and other donations by going to www.or-chaim.com or mailing a check to Or Chaim, 1658 Deer Creek Rd, Monument CO 80132
