Shabbat June 21, 2025 Note: Joshua Aaron Concert CANCELLED!
/Shabbat Shalom!
And, what a week it has been!! I am so thankful for Shabbat, where we can take a breath and say, THANK YOU, FATHER! With all that has been happening with Israel, and the craziness that has been going on in our streets here in the US, plus just dealing with the daily struggles that we all have it is so good to just rest in His arms and enjoy His presence! Millie and I have been especially blessed this week to host our dear friends for many years. We were able to take them to visit their son in the very southwest part of the State, where he is the District Major of the State Patrol, and enjoy some time with him as they rarely see him. We certainly live in a beautiful State! As I am sure you all have been, please continue to pray for the situation between Israel and Iran, and especially for wisdom for our leaders as they decide upon an “endgame”, so that the regime that has cursed God’s people and proclaimed “death to America”, will no longer threaten Israel with annihilation!
You are all invited to join us for Shabbat, tomorrow June 21st as we celebrate Yeshua together! Our address is 16800 W. 9th Ave Golden, 80401, and we start at 11am. I will be sharing a very important and timely message entitled WHAT DOES SUCCESSFUL LIVING LOOK LIKE? The Book of Proverbs and many other Scriptures give us a blueprint for living a godly life and being blessed, and blessing others. I don’t think we were called to just survive what comes at us, but LIVE as overcomers and ones who walk in victory, no matter what happens in our lives. The Word of God lays out options for us. What do I mean by that? Well, we can choose to walk in HIS ways of obedience, holiness, and the .;Fear of the Lord, or, we can choose to follow our flesh and get in all kinds of trouble! Believe me, I’ve tried that way and it doesn’t work! So come on out and worship with us and fellowship with us! After the service, many of our folks stick around and have some food and fellowship, so bring a dish to share and enjoy one another!
As most of you know, the Joshua Aaron concert that was to be held on Sunday June 22nd has been cancelled. Joshua was home with his family when the hostilities broke out, and he has been unable to get out of Israel and back to the US. We will definitely be rescheduling this event, so stay tuned for the details and pray for his family and for divine protection. Next Shabbat June 28th at 11am, we will be having the Celebration of Life for Judith Williams. We will have a short Torah Service (which she loved!) and then a time of honoring her memory. Several of her family members will be there and we will have a special luncheon following the service. If you have memories or stories to share about Judith, be prepared to share that day! We will be getting out more details this week as far as foods to bring and how you may be able to assist. Lynne McDowell will be leading worship for us on that day.
As summer is upon us, I know that it is a time for lots of folks to enjoy the outdoors and go out of town on the weekends, and that’s a good thing! Let me just bring a little exhortation from the Scriptures: “So let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and boldly washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the unwavering confession of hope, for he who promised is faithful. And do not neglect our own meetings, as is the habit of some, but encourage one another — and all the more so as you see the Day approaching.” (Heb.10:22-25). We look forward to seeing you this Shabbat!
