Shabbat May 17, 2025
/Shalom!
What an intense season this has been! I think if I can put this time in a word, it would be CONTENDING. What do I mean by contending? For me it means that it is a time of prayer and waiting on God that is intense, persistent and focused in what I am desiring to see Him do. It also means often praying in the Spirit, using my heavenly tongue, because my own words fail me. I am reminded of Jacob in Genesis 32, after wrestling with “a man” (in fact, the Lord!) all night, and the “man’ saying, “hey, it’s morning and I’ve got to go”, Jacob says, “I won’t let you go unless you bless me”(v.32). See, that is what I mean by CONTENDING! Millie and I have been CONTENDING for several things, as I know that many of you also have. Be encouraged, God is saying, I believe, “lean into me and trust and I will not disappoint, you will see what you have asked for.” The words of Paul in Romans 15:13 are encouraging, “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and shalom in trusting, SO YOU MAY OVERFLOW WITH HOPE IN THE POWER OF THE RUACH HA-KODESH.”
Come on out to Or Chaim at The Dwelling Place this Shabbat, May 17th, and worship the King with us! We have had some wonderful and fresh encounters with God in our midst and I believe this Shabbat will be one of those times! Our address is 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401 and our service begins at 11am. This week our friend Tammy Vacura will lead us in worship and we will have a special guest bring a fresh word to us. I have known Matthew Smoler for many years and he has a special call on his life to see the “Isaiah 19” promise of a “highway” from Assyria to Egypt with Israel in the middle, come to pass in our lifetime. He is a Jewish believer in Yeshua, with a passion for reconciliation, prayer and evangelism and has a hunger for what is on God’s heart! Yes, WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!
