Shabbat Shalom 9/27/2025

Shabbat Shalom!

It is so hard to believe that we are already in the midst of the Fall Feast season and halfway through the 10 Days of Awe!  Last Monday we celebrated Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets), IN THE DARK AND WITHOUT POWER! Yes, the power was out throughout the Golden area, but “intrepid souls” that we are, we kindled the festival candles, shared the Biblical foundations of this wonderful day, worshipped our King and sounded the shofar with joy and gladness in our hearts! As a matter of fact, the power came on during the last song of our worship, KING OF ALL THE EARTH, and we just had an awesome celebration after that with our mighty shofar warriors! As I shared that evening, this is not a “random” time but an APPOINTED TIME OF GATHERING BY GOD FOR HIS PEOPLE! We are now in the year 5786 on the “Kingdom Calendar”, and a I contemplated on the numbers, I believe the Father spoke to me that He will give us the grace to complete perfectly what He has given us to do and to walk boldly and confidently into the new things that He has shown us!

This Shabbat is also a special gathering known as Shabbat Shuvah (Shabbat of turning or repentance), always between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur. We will be gathering at 11am at 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401, so come on out and worship and celebrate with us during this time of the High Holidays! I will be sharing a timely message on the meaning of these special Mo’adim, with a focus on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), the most sacred and holy day on our calendar. We will be commemorating Yom Kippur with a Kol Nidre service this Wednesday October 1st at 6:30pm. It will take place at The Dwelling Place and all are welcome to join with us for this gathering! Following the service we will join in the Fast that is Biblically mandated. To end the fast and the Yom Kippur Holy day, we will gather together at the Crider’s home for our annual Break Fast! Their address is 22493 E. Maplewood Ln. Aurora, 80015 and we will begin gathering at 5pm and will close out Yom Kippur with a short celebratory service at 5:30, followed by a meal together! Please bring a main dish (hearty soups are encouraged!) or a side, salad or dessert, and whatever beverage you would like.

Also, put on your calendars that we will be celebrating Succoth with other Congregations from October 10th-12th at Castlewood Canyon Church! More. Details to follow!
