Pesach Shabbat

Shalom Mishpacha!

It is hard to believe but we are fast approaching the Passover season! The first of the Spring Mo’adim (Appointed Feasts) will be here in just a few days, so, it is another opportunity to look to the lamb of God, prepare our hearts, and thank Him for our deliverance from our own Egypt of sin! I remember as a boy, the whole family would come together and we would recount the story of the Passover, the Israelites miraculous deliverance from Egypt, and have a wonderful meal that my Grandma Tilly would cook. We would sing Dayenu and drink grape juice (adults would drink a lot wine!) and eat matzah, all the while smelling the great food with our mouths watering! It wasn’t till my late 20’s that I grasped the significance of this holiday, not just for my Jewish people but also as a child of God, and that it is not just a “story” and an opportunity to have a great meal, but to reflect and rejoice on my freedom and deliverance in Yeshua! So, prepare your hearts as we gather together in a few days.

SINCE MANY OF US WILL BE ATTENDING THE SEDER AT THE DWELLING PLACE, WE WILL BEGIN OUR SHABBAT SERVICE AT 12 NOON ON APRIL 12TH INSTEAD OF 11AM! THE SEDER WILL BEGIN AT 4PMIN THE FELLOWSHIP ROOM, SO WE WILL NOT HAVE OUR ONEG FOLLOWING OUR SERVICE! Our address is 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401. If you have not signed up for the Seder on Saturday the 12th, there is still room for the Seder on Sunday the 13th! This will be a very special time, a Holy Convocation as the Scriptures describe in Leviticus 23, a time that is still very much relevant for us today. It is encouraging that many churches are beginning to recognize the Passover, and in fact Millie and I will be leading Seders in two other local churches!

We so look forward to seeing all of you this Shabbat! I will be sharing about the passover during the morning Shabbat service, so invite your family and friends to come on out! On Sunday April 20th, as the Christian Church is celebrating Resurrection Day (Easter), Or Chaim will be having a SUNRISE WORSHIP GATHERING at the Aurora reservoir at 6am. Russ and Siri have been hosting the vent for several years and they will be grilling fish on the shore of the lake! There will be worship and dance and it begins at 6am. Dress warm!
