Shabbat 5/42019

Shabbat Shalom!

The National Day of Prayer at the State Capitol on Thursday was powerful and anointed! Several hundred people gathered on the steps and proclaimed Yeshua is Lord over this City, State and Nation, and declared that God, and He alone, is able to change the atmosphere and direction of things. We prayed for families, government leaders, young people, media, and of course pastors/churches and congregations. There was an excitement and an elevation of faith as we sensed that God wants to do so much more than we can even imagine! This Shabbat, May 4th, I will be sharing the second part of a message we started last week entitled THE POWER OF DECLARATION, you don’t want to miss it! WE WILL BE HAVING A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR SOME WONDERFUL FELLOWSHIP! Hebrew class of course will be at 9am, and Torah Club resumes after the Passover break at 3pm.

This Sunday, May 5th, there are a couple of Israel related events that we want to encourage you to be involved with. CELEBRATE ISRAEL WALK AND FESTIVAL will be at South High School, west lawn from 8:30am-1pm. This is a great opportunity to get to know the Jewish community here in Denver and show our solidarity with that nation and it’s people. Bring your Israel flags, and where your Israel tee shirts because its supposed to be a beautiful day! The MARCH OF REMEMBRANCE HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL event will be taking place at Babi Bar Park in Denver from 3pm-5pm. We have been participating in this event for many years as a way to REMEMBER AND RESPOND and to stand in opposition to the rising tide of anti-semitism beginning to show it’s ugly head once again! We will be hearing from a Holocaust survivor, as well as others at this very moving event. For both of these events, we encourage you to wear comfortable shoes, since they both will involve walking!

Again, I want to encourage all of us to be in prayer for the folks in the Congregation! There are some in need of complete healing from cancer (Mary, Paul), and others who need breakthrough and miracles THAT GOD IS MORE THAN ABLE TO DO! Remember what He spoke to us at the beginning of the year, HINENI!, be available to HIM and see the mighty things He will do!

Blessings and Shalom!

National Day of Prayer 5/2/2019 Denver Capital

Shalom!

At the beginning of the year, The Lord spoke clearly to us as a community, HINENI, which is more than just “here am I” but has a much deeper meaning, more like an offer of total availability. We are being invited by the Almighty God to participate with Him in bringing a nation back to Him! Thursday, May 2nd at 11am is the NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, a day to PRAY FOR AMERICA, that was began in 1952 by President Harry Truman. Churches and Congregations from around the metro area will be gathering on the west steps of the State Capital to proclaim that Adonai is Lord and that He desires to continue to bless this nation! The theme of this year’s gathering is “LOVE ONE ANOTHER” (John 13:34), and what more fitting thing to do than join together as a faith community, seek Heaven’s strategies and call them down to Planet Earth in every aspect of our culture!

I want to encourage all of us, if at all possible, to come together for this important initiative. As I have shared many times in our services, our nation is at a very significant crossroads, where we are called as ‘Sons of God’ to speak truth, in love and humility, into our families, government, media, businesses, entertainment, schools etc. Several community leaders and Pastors have been invited to pray into these areas. I have been asked to pray specifically over churches/congregations and pastors, so I would very much appreciate your prayer for me as I prepare to do this. As we pray and declare publicly for these things, I would encourage all of us to individually commit to pray for the Spiritual condition of this country, for Alignment in the body of Messiah to it’s core Biblical values of righteousness, purity, integrity, and the honoring of life. Also, for the Church to come into greater revelation of their call to love Israel and the Jewish people and provoke them to jealousy for their Jewish Messiah! One more thing to pray for is security, and that any evil schemes for destruction or harm would be exposed!

The weather is supposed to be pleasant, with temperatures in the low 60’s, with no rain. the program will be from 11am-1pm, so I would encourage you to bring water and a folding chair if you cannot stand for the whole time. It is fine to bring banners and flags, shofars and of course your bibles! Parking at the Capital is not great, so leave early and there is free parking on side streets for 2 hour periods, also there is paid public parking close by. You can take Light Rail to Union Station, and then the 16th Street mall bus which is free and it will take you very close to the Capital. Look forward to seeing you all there!Blessings and Shalom!

Shabbat 4/27/2019

Shabbat Shalom!

Chag Sameach L’Pesach! Yes, it is still Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread as we have now entered the time of the Counting of the Omer. What an awesome evening we had last Friday as we celebrated our Seder, re-telling the amazing story of the Israelites deliverance from slavery in Egypt, and our deliverance from sin and death by the blood of Yeshua! The presence of The Lord was powerful as we worshipped our King, ate special foods, drank the four cups, laughed and fellowshipped with each other in a memorable evening. So many folks were involved in making this evening so special and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Millie will be returning from Israel this Friday so, believe me, I am a happy man, and if she’s not too jetlagged looks forward to sharing her amazing and productive journey to Israel!
This Shabbat, April 27th, I will begin a couple of messages on the POWER OF DECLARATION, and some of the objections that people have because of past abuses. Are declarations transformative, or just a bunch of religious babble? Let us look at what the Word Of God says! WE WILL HAVE A POT-LUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP.
Next Thursday, May 2nd at 11am, I want to invite everyone to attend THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, taking place at the State Capitol. The theme this year is LOVE ONE ANOTHER, and this is an opportunity for the entire church to come together, in unity, to pray for our government, families, media and entertainment, businesses, children and many other things. Churches and Congregations from all over the metro area will be joining together at the west steps of the capitol and proclaim that Yeshua (Jesus) is Lord of all! This event was first proclaimed in 1952 by President Truman as a way to mobilize public prayer for our nation. We will be blowing the shofar, and I have been invited to pray over Churches and Congregations! So I want to encourage all of you to come on out and pray with others so that the blessings on this country will continue!
Many other things are happening at Or Chaim! Hebrew study, Messianic dance, Torah Club all resume this Shabbat after the Passover break. There are many areas to get involved with Congregational life including worship, evangelism, audio-visual production, website maintenance and many other things! Please ask The Lord how you can serve and bless others! We look forward to seeing you this Shabbat!Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!Stewart and Millie

Shabbat 4/13/2019

Shabbat Shalom!

Wow, Tuesday it was 80 degrees and on Wednesday I had 3-4 inches of snow on my deck! Welcome to Colorado! We do love the Spring here, but I do sense people are getting tired of winter hanging on and are ready for some warm temperatures. The Father has been speaking to me recently about honor and respect, and more specifically, the “coarseness” of our culture and it’s deterioration over the last several decades. How do we change the atmosphere in the culture? It has to start in the body of Messiah first! This Shabbat, April 13th, I want to share my heart about RESTORING A CULTURE OF HONOR AND RESPECTand how it needs to start with us. The presence of the Ruach (Spirit) has been powerful lately in our services (not that it isn’t always!), and God has been doing some wonderful things, so come on out and join us! THERE WILL BE A POT-LUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE.
Passover is just around the corner, Friday April 19th at 6pm! There are a few tickets left (not many), so go on the website and get them now at: www.Or-Chaim.com and press on the events page and make your purchase. As we have been saying, this will be an awesome and fun celebration, as we share the “Haggadah” (the story), enjoy the elements of the Seder, sing Dayenu, and eat a fabulous catered meal! There will be dancing and worship and some great fellowship, and you don’t want to miss it. WE WILL NOT BE HAVING OUR MORNING SHABBAT SERVICE ON APRIL 20TH! PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT FOLKS SHOWING UP ON THE MOUNTAIN, WE WON’T BE THERE!
This is an exciting season, and the Kingdom of God is advancing greatly in these days. Part of the reason I know this is because so many of you are experiencing tough battles and attacks, which coincide with imminent breakthrough. Also, the Scriptures tell us about these days and that we should not fear but walk in His shalom! Be encouraged and stay grounded in Him!Pray for Millie and the team that she is with right now in Israel, They are now in the Negev desert and are connecting with Jewish and Arab Believers in the land!Shalom and Blessings!Stewart and Millie

Shabbat 4/6/2019

Shabbat Shalom!

We have been sharing with you over the recent weeks that there has been a perceptible increase in anti-semitic activities in our nation. We have seen it in our U.S.Congress, and now we are seeing it in our own city. A couple of days ago someone spray painted a swastica just above the cornerstone at Church In The City/ Beth Abraham. As I shared last week, it is time to step up the intercession and fasting for our city and this nation! The time of complacency and apathy is over, The accuser has stepped up his strategy and it is certainly time for the body of Messiah to walk in truth and love to confront his schemes! This Shabbat, April 6th, I will wrap up our series on the New Covenant, as we explore the freedom we have in it! Actually, the liberty we have in the Messiah as we pursue the Torah of God, is the opposite of religion, because it leads to intimacy, not just keeping rules and checking the right boxes! You know, we are just a few weeks away from Passover, the first major Feast of the year, and I sense that at these times as the Jewish people search the scriptures, their hearts are very tender to the Messiah so pray that the veil would be lifted as they search their scriptures!
WE WILL HAVE A POT-LUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE, AND STAY FOR SOME WONDERFUL FELLOWSHIP. It has been so good seeing all the folks staying for dance practice at 2pm. It is lots of fun, as they prepare for Passover and also special events coming up, Thank you David and Laura! Also, Kent has been doing an amazing job teaching Biblical Hebrew faithfully at 9am! Following Oneg, at 3pm, we have our Torah Club where we study the portion of the week, and have great discussions as we learn to walk in the Torah of God!
Our annual OR CHAIM PASSOVER SEDER IS FRIDAY, APRIL 19TH AT 6PM! AS LAST YEAR, WE WILL BE GATHERING AT THE AURORA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS, 14201 E. EVANS DR., AURORA 80014. Shabbat Shalom Mishpacha!

In these tumultuous and polarized times, there are a lot of voices and opinions vying for our allegiance. Who are we listening to? To what are we coming into agreement with? Valid questions with answers that affect our destiny, our family's destiny, and even into the nations. This Shabbat, March 30th, I will be continuing our journey through the New Covenant, with a look at how to answer the ‘accuser of the brethren’. Yes, he still speaks and we need to know, Biblically, how to respond to him. The greater promises of the New Covenant can’t be appropriated if we are listening to the wrong voice! This is a practical message, with tools to help us walk in these days. Be preparing your hearts to receive the Lord’s Supper.

THERE WILL BE A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

Passover is just three weeks away, Friday April 19th! It’s time to get your tickets before it’s too late. It’s going to be a great evening of telling the story of deliverance, praise, worship, dance, fun, and a great catered meal! Invite your family and friends, so get your tickets at www.Or-Chaim.com. And click on the events page.

I have a strong urge to exhort you all to be in prayer and intercession for this nation, and Israel. Things are heating up and it seems that the battle lines are being drawn. Some other key weapons in our warfare along with prayer is to walk in righteousness and speak truth in love. In Psalm 139, David asks the Lord to search his heart and make sure there is no offensive way in him. So should we in these days do the same.

Biblical Hebrew class, Messianic dance workshop and Torah club this Shabbat! Let’s get involved, and we will see you then!

Shabbat Shalom 3/16/2019

Shabbat Shalom!

The “Cyclone Bomb” blizzard hit Colorado the other day, and the city of Denver, indeed much of the eastern plains, was cut off from the rest of the world! On the other side of the planet missiles are being shot at Tel Aviv Israel! It’s amazing, the more we think we can control our lives and manage the things that come into our lives, something like this happens and we realize how out of control we are!

Which brings us to Shabbat (what a segue!) I will be continuing our teaching into the power and incredible reality of the New Covenant. We will be looking into ‘HALACHA’, the actual walking out of the inner Torah that is written on our hearts. The disciples, after hearing what Yeshua said was required to enter the Kingdom of God, were incredulous and said “who can be saved?” His response, “What is impossible with men is possible with God!” We will learn how the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) engraves God’s Torah in our hearts so as we can really walk as those who overcome.

WE WILL HAVE A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR THE FELLOWSHIP!

This Sunday, March 17th@5pm, we will be having a CITY-WIDE PURIM CELEBRATION AT CHURCH IN THE CITY/BETH ABRAHAM, 1580 GAYLORD ST. DENVER, 80206. It will be a wonderful evening of food, worship and the telling of the story of Esther and Mordecai defeating the wicked anti-semitic Haman, and also enjoying games and a costume contest! All are invited, and this is a great opportunity to invite your family and friends to hear about this festival, and God’s dramatic rescue of His people! Doors open at 4:30pm, and we will kick off the evening with a meal.  Kosher hot dogs and buns will be provided and  you can bring a side dish or a salad. This is a great opportunity for the whole body of Messiah to come together IN UNITY to celebrate and fellowship! In these last days this will become more and more important, especially as we see the rise of demonic anti-semitism taking place even in this country. Come on out and enjoy this celebration together!

Tickets for our annual PASSOVER SEDER , FRIDAY APRIL 19TH@6PM ARE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT WWW.OR-CHAIM.COM GET THEM NOW AS SEATINGN IS LIMITED!

There are so many wonderful things happening at Or Chaim, including Torah Club, Hebrew class, and Messianic Dance so come on out on Shabbat and enjoy this special day with us!

Please continue to pray for Jan Rubin and Rhonda’s mom who are in need of healing! God hears and is the healer!

Shabbat Shalom!

What an amazing time our team had in Israel! The six of us who went this year had a great time serving Israelis from severely disabled children and adults, to holocaust survivors, to those picking up trash in the Galilee! It was also a sweet time of prayer and worship with Israeli Believers where we got God’s heart for the land and His people and saw miracles and healings that impacted lives. Let me just recount two specific events briefly: an Israeli friend of ours had been struggling for years with Asthma that had almost taken her life two times. She was on the 39th day of a fast when a few of our ladies prayed over her she felt something in her chest and experienced the power of the Spirit upon her! The day before we left Israel she called and said she had experienced total release and no longer needed her medicine.  A lady on our team was working on a ladder and had a bad fall, within a few hours she could barely walk and we had to get a wheelchair for her. One day in the Galilee, at the place where the ancient synagogue of Migdala was, in the grotto of a beautiful church as we were worshipping we prayed for healing for her, afterwards, she jumped out of her wheelchair and ran up the stairs, healed! All of us sensed that this was a unique time, with all that is going on in the world, as well as in Israel. Things are heating up in Gaza, the threats from Iran are ramping up, and Bibi was indicted while we were in the land! The elections are coming up April 9th. I encourage you to prayer for Israel during this crucial season. It’s good to be back, and you will hear some sharing this Shabbat from some of the folks who journeyed with us.
I will be sharing a timely message this Shabbat as we continue to look atThe New Covenant, Not Just A Restatement Of The Old! The Lord has put some things in my heart connecting Covenant, with the rise of anti-semitism that we are witnessing right here in the good ole USA. I am believing that there will beNO SNOWSTORMS THIS SHABBAT, yes we need the moisture, but not this Shabbat!
WE WILL BE HAVING A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR THE FELLOWSHIP!
On Sunday, March 17th at 5pm, we will be joining with other Messianic Congregations in the metro area for a CITY-WIDE PURIM CELEBRATION! We will be gathering at CHURCH IN THE CITY/BETH ABRAHAM, 1580 N. GAYLORD ST., DENVER, 80206. We will have a meal beginning at 5pm, followed by a time of worship and praise and the telling of the miraculous deliverance of the Jewish people out of the hands of the evil anti-semitic Haman (how appropriate in these days!). There will be skits as well as games and activities for children, AND YES, WEAR YOUR FAVORITE BIBLICAL COSTUME AND BRING YOUR NOISE MAKERS! The evening will wrap up by 8pm, SO BRING THE KIDS AND INVITE YOUR FRIENDS!
We will be having our annual OR CHAIM PASSOVER SEDER, FRIDAY APRIL 19TH@6PM. Tickets are on sale now, you can purchase them on our website, www.or-chaim.com and go to the EVENTS page. I want to encourage you to get your tickets soon because the seating is limited! It will be a powerful evening as we recount another incredible deliverance of our people from slavery in Egypt. It will be a night of reading the Hagadah (The Story), a wonderful catered meal, worship and dance, and just a whole lot of fun! We will be meeting at The Aurora Association of Realtors, 14201 E. Evans Dr. Aurora, 80014 There is so much more happening at Or Chaim, such as Torah Club, Hebrew class, Messianic Dance etc.We look forward to seeing you all on Shabbat!Blessings and Shalom,Stewart and Millie

Shabbat 2/16/2019

Shabbat Shalom!

I was reading an article recently by one of our Tikkun elders who lives in Israel, Eitan Shishkoff, that reminded me of what God’s heart in these last days really is. It’s not complicated, and as a matter of fact, may seem superficially simple if it weren’t so true, “May these twin passions of our Father - the Harvest and Brotherhood - motivate us and guide our priorities as we consider how to live in the last days.” Yeshua desires that "…all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth”, and He has chosen you and me to be His agents to bring this truth to people everywhere! The Psalmist likens the fellowship and brotherhood of Believers as the anointing oil that COMMANDS the blessing of LIFE FOREVERMORE! So as you can see, if these things are a priority for our Heavenly Father, should they not be for us?

This Shabbat, February 16th, I will be continuing my series on COVENANT by looking further into the BRIT CHADASHA (NEW COVENANT) and how it is not just a re-newed Covenant of old but something so amazing and comprehensive!

FOLLOWING THE SERVICE WE WILL BE HAVING OUR POTLUCK ONEG, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR THE FELLOWSHIP!

Some important events coming up that you need to put in your calendar. On Sunday, March 17th, from 5pm-8pm, we will be joining with a CITYWIDE CELEBRATION OF PURIM at CHURCH IN THE CITY/BETH ABRAHAM! Several Messianic congregations in the Metro area are coming together to celebrate the miraculous salvation of the Jewish people from Haman’s (Boo!) planned genocide, as recounted in the Book of Esther. We will start off with a meal and then have a glorious time of worship and a creative telling of the story, followed by games for the children and a costume contest! This will be a great and fun time for the whole family, and a great opportunity to invite friends and family to this Biblical festival! CITC/BA IS LOCATED AT 1580 GAYLORD ST. DENVER, 80206.

On Friday, April 19th, from 6pm-10pm, Or Chaim will be holding it’s annual PASSOVER SEDER at the Aurora Realtors Association, 14201 E. Evans Dr., Aurora, 80014. This Biblical “Appointed Time” is an exciting evening as we share the incredible deliverance of the Israelites from bondage in Egypt! Not only will we be partaking in the Seder but we will have a delicious, catered meal and wonderful music and dance as well as fellowship. YOU CAN PURCHASE TICKETS NOW BY GOING TO OUR WEBSITE www.or-chaim.com AND CLICKING ON WHERE IT SAYS “EVENTS PAGE”. PRICES FOR THIS MAGNIFICENT EVENING ARE: $36/ADULT; $18 FOR CHILDREN; FREE FOR KIDS UNDER 5! I would strongly encourage you to order tickets early, as I am sure they will sell out and seating is limited!

There are many other things happening at Or Chaim, including Torah Club, Messianic Dance, and Hebrew Study, so get involved and be blessed!

Shabbat 2/9/2019

Shabbat Shalom!

I love what the writer of Hebrews says: “SO LET US DRAW NEAR WITH A TRUE HEART IN FULL ASSURANCE OF FAITH … LET US HOLD FAST THE UNWAVERING CONFESSION OF HOPE … AND LET US CONSIDER HOW TO STIR UP ONE ANOTHER … AND ALL THE MORE AS YOU SEE THE DAY APPROACHING”. With the outright insanity all around us, and things getting more bizarre seemingly by the minute, we have to hold on to our unchanging God and His unchanging Word! There is a full on frontal assault on our faith and the values we hold dear that are laid out in the scriptures, but don’t give in to the temptation to walk away or give up or throw up your hands and say “whats the use!” God is Faithful and True, and I believe we will see incredible displays of His character very soon.

This Shabbat, February 9th, I will be continuing the series on A LOVING COVENANT-KEEPING FATHER  as we begin to explore in depth THE NEW COVENANT. There is so much confusion in the Body about what covenant and who it is made with that folks and even well respected preachers have come up with their own erroneous and dangerous interpretations. I will try to lay out a Biblical understanding of this all-important covenant and how we are to live until it’s complete fulfillment!

WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

Much is going on at Or Chaim on Shabbat! Hebrew Study at 9am; Dance practice at 2pm; and of course Torah Club at 3pm.This week the Torah portion is entitled TERUMAH (Ex.25:1-27:19), which is translated gift or offering. A lot of fun activities on Shabbat!

Also, I want to let you all know that Millie's birthday is Monday, February 11th! We are having a celebration at Brio Italian Restaurant in Cherry Creek on Monday at 6pm. Let me (Stewart) know in advance if you’d like to join us...it is separate checks! You all know, my lovely and lively bride loves a good party, so we hope to see as many of you as possible!

Remember, Passover is not too far off and we are already in our planning stages. It will be Friday, April 19th at the Aurora Realtors Association and we will be selling tickets soon. Stay tuned!

Shabbat 2/2/2019

Shabbat Shalom!

Have you ever had the thought: “if I were God …”, and then (in your thoughts, of course) proceed with doing away with everyone who disagreed with you and implementing what you thought would be what God would do? Sure you have! These last few weeks as we have seen a growing debate in this nation about cultural values in regards to life and death and what our children are taught in schools about their identity, I have to confess that He has so much more mercy and grace and long-suffering than I do! Nevertheless, this is a time where God is calling His sons and daughters to wake up and sound the shofar and pray as we have never done before! We have to come back to His ancient paths, His covenant ways so that we do not lose the blessings that He has promised through obedience and love.
This Shabbat, February 2nd, I will be starting an important series of teachings on COVENANT where we will look at what it is and how God relates to us as A LOVING, COVENANT KEEPING FATHER. We will be especially looking at the New Covenant and its promises and how as a society we have walked so far away from true understanding of right relationship with the Creator of the universe! You do not want to miss this series!
WE WILL HAVE A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!
With the Spring festivals on the horizon, we at Or Chaim are gearing up so as to have wonderful times of celebration as we remember and observe these special Mo’adim. We are looking to have community gatherings for Purim, and Shavuot, and of course we will be having our Congregational Passover Seder on Friday, April 19th. In preparation of these events, DAVID AND LAURA ARONSTEIN WILL BE STARTING DANCE CLASS! Beginning this Shabbat at 2pm (between Oneg and Torah Club) they will go over basics where we are going to start learning and practicing dances for Purim, Passover and Shavuot! No experience is necessary; the only requirement to be in a dance is that you come and practice with us! Beginners are welcome... as they say... “if you come, we will teach! Believe me, I have two left feet and they taught me how to dance! If you have any questions contact David or Laura.
Ladies you are all invited this Sunday at 1pm for Fellowship worship and encouragement at the Colorado Messianic Women’s Fellowship being held at Koelbel Library!  Bring a friend!
Remember, Kent will be teaching Biblical Hebrew at 9am, and Torah Club will be at 3pm on Shabbat. Look forward to seeing you at service!Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!Stewart and Millie

Shabbat 1/26/2019

Shabbat Shalom!

This Messianic Pastor is very concerned and “righteously indignant”! The evidence of the cultural war we are engaged in has manifest its ugly head and all the masks are coming off. The other day, the new World Trade Center in New York was bathed in pink spot lights. Yes, the building that stands as a monument to an evil attack upon our nation that took the lives of 3,000 people in 2001. Why you ask? Because the State legislature just passed the most liberal abortion laws in the country actually making them part of their State constitution! It is now legal to abort up to the due date of the baby and non-physicians can perform these abortions! These are just a couple of the egregious statutes that are now law in the second most populous State in the Union. The passage was met with boisterous applause and the Governor ordered the pink lights to shine on the building celebrating the holocaust against children that the believe are not really children just inconvenient pieces of tissue! Folks, if ever ‘The Bride” needed to be who God called her to be, it is now! If ever we needed to be walking in the knowledge of the word and the power of the Holy Spirit, it is now.

This Shabbat, January 26th, I will be sharing a message about THE GLORIFIED BRIDE: THE COMING SYNERGY, exploring how alignment leads to something far bigger than the sum of our own abilities. This is an important message for these days, where the prayer of Yeshua in John 17 for unity will be fulfilled before He returns.

THERE WILL BE NO ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, AS WE WILL BE HAVING HAVDALAH AT THE WESTENDORF’S FARM AT 5:30PM. WE WILL BE HAVING TORAH CLUB AT 1PM, SO BRING A SACK LUNCH IF YOU ARE PART OF THE CLUB. TORAH CLUB WILL END AT 3PM.

HAVDALAH: A wonderful time of fellowship as we close out the Shabbat! This include worship, a short service and feasting! We want to start having these times again on a monthly basis, usually the 4th Shabbat of the month, and all are invited to attend! Tom and Mary will be serving chili and homemade bread, so bring your favorite soup, dessert, or any other accompaniment you wish to share. Bring the kids and grandkids, wear some old shoes and check out the horses, ducks, and chickens, cause they love the attention. Yes, it really is a farm! Let Mary know what you will bring by emailing at mweste7777@msn.com.

Please continue to pray for this nation and it’s leaders during this crucial season! Keep your ear in tune to what He is saying, and obey what He says. Praise Him and worship Him, because He is worthy, and join with us this Shabbat as a community!

BLESSING AND SHABBAT SHALOM!

Happy Birthday Or Chaim

Shabbat Shalom!

Or Chaim Messianic Congregation is 3 years old! We held our first service on January 16th, 2016 with a vision to be a place for God’s presence as Jews and Gentiles come together to worship and exalt Yeshua from the Front Range! We were birthed out of a vision and we are committed to see God’s purposes fulfilled in our lives and in the life of our community, nation, into Israel and the nations. We will be celebrating our birthday with a wonderful cake at our Oneg!

This week, January 19th, I will be sharing an important message out of the last prophesy of the Tanach in Malachi exploring, “Turning the hearts of the fathers to the children”. We have been looking at the restoration of all things during these days and this is a promise that is often overlooked when we look at all the things that must take place before His return. It’s not just about physical fathers and children (although it includes this) but a generational transfer in the end days and what that looks like. Remember, it is extremely important during these chaotic days to get a “30,000 foot” perspective so we can align our lives to respond ‘HINENI’ when we hear the voice of God!

WE WILL HAVE A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE WITH OTHERS AND ENJOY BIRTHDAY CAKE FOR DESSERT!

For your information, during these winter months we carefully look at the weather reports in the days leading up to our Shabbat service. We pray, based on the information and consultation among the leadership, and usually make a decision about the service by 10pm the night before. We don’t like to cancel our services, but will if it is deemed dangerous to be driving on the roads.  PLEASE CHECK OUR FACEBOOK AND EMAIL POSTS FOR UPDATES! What we have found is that all the roads leading to Or Chaim are well maintained during the winter, but we urge you to use wisdom and drive carefully!

Remember our Biblical Hebrew class is this Shabbat at 9am and Torah Club will be at 3pm after Oneg. These are special times of deep study and discussion where participation is encouraged and in fact makes these classes more fun and exciting! Can’t wait to see you all on Shabbat!

Blessing and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 1/22/2019 special Guest from Jerusalem Bess and Larry Herzekow

Shabbat Shalom!

Last week we looked at several heroes of faith who responded “Hineni" (Here am I) and were taken from the ordinary to greatness by their willingness to yield themselves to God by embracing something far greater than themselves. Most of the time when we say “yes, I am available to You”, we are not able to see the end result and there may be some apprehension or reluctance or even real doubt about our ability to do what He has asked! This is where faith in HIS character and a yieldedness or surrender to Him is what propels us into destiny and fruitfulness. We also saw how our response of “Hineni” elicits a response a “Hineni “ from God that He is with there with us!

This shabbat, January 12th, we are blessed to have Larry and Bess Herzekow from Jerusalem joining with us. They have a ministry  operating on the outskirts of Jerusalem called Beit Rachamim (House of Compassion) with a focus of connecting Evangelical Believers with Israel. They host teams and connect people with ministries in the land by doing practical service for believing Jewish communities as well as the lost sheep of Israel. You don’t want to miss their presentation with us and spend some time getting to know this precious couple! WE WILL HAVE A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR SOME WONDERFUL FELLOWSHIP!

Also, Kent Brown will be teaching Biblical Hebrew at 9am. This has been an exciting and fun, and I am sure challenging time for those who have participated. Thanks Kent for your faithfulness in teaching this class! At 3pm following our Oneg, we will be having our Torah Club. This has been a time of great discussion and Midrash of the Torah reading of the week! This week the reading is entitled “Bo” (go), as we continue the exciting story of the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. We look forward to seeing you all this Shabbat!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 1/5/2019

Shabbat Shalom!

Well, we’ve made it to 2019! Funny how you go to bed one night and a whole year is in the record books by the time you wake up! We pray that this will be a year of destiny, fulfillment and fruitfulness for you and your family in this new year.

This Shabbat, January 5th, we will finally have our ladies share about their amazing trip to Kenya, with testimonies and an exciting PowerPoint! Also, I will share some thoughts that will be our theme for this upcoming year. The Lord has spoken clearly THAT ALIGNMENT CANNOT TAKE PLACE FULLY WITHOUT OUR RESPONSE OF “HINENI!” This will be an important message for our congregation as well as our personal lives.

WE WILL HAVE A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND ENJOY FELLOWSHIP WITH THE FOLKS!

Biblical Hebrew class will be at 9am in the fellowship room, and Torah Club will follow the Oneg at 3pm. Millie and I are excited about the journey that Father has been laying out for us in this new year. There is territory to be re-taken, new initiatives that will be birthed, and souls coming into the kingdom of God! We truly believe that this will be a time of  great strides for all of us, as we respond to His presence and call. We look forward to seeing you this Shabbat!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!
