Shabbat January 13, 2018

Shabbat Shalom!

I read something the other day that I want to share with you from Wayne Hilsden, a friend of ours who lives in Jerusalem: “TO SERVE THE LORD SOUNDS LIKE WORK. BUT WHEN THE LORD HIMSELF IS AT WORK IN AND THROUGH YOU, THE BURDEN IS LIGHT”, wow, can we embrace that truth and let Him do what He wants in us? The hardest thing for many of us to do is to ‘cease and desist” from striving and submit ourselves to the work of the Ruach in us, and give praise and be thankful to Him in the midst of the journey! When we do that, it is at that point we realize the truth that the burden is light! This Shabbat, January 13th, we will be continuing on the journey through Romans, and enter into 3 chapters that theologians for centuries have tried to figure out why they were put there. Chapters 9-11 confuses many, as they try to figure out why Rav Shaul ‘changes the subject’ in the midst of what we have been studying over the last months! Now, we are hearing about Israel and the Jews, why the change? We will discover this week how this section is so central to us understanding, not just the book, but the entire gospel!

WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP AND MIDRASH!

Some upcoming events you need to be aware of: On Shabbat, January 20th, at 10:30am, we will be welcoming George and Baht Rivka Whitten to Or Chaim all the way from the Southern Israel city of Arad! Rivka is Israeli born (Sabra), who is an incredibly anointed worship leader and songwriter, will bring her unique music ministry that has reached many with the good news of Yeshua. George, her American-born husband, will bring his unique perspective on the news concerning the Middle East. Believe me, this is not the “News” you hear on CNN or the rest of the fake news media! You don’t want to miss this service, and you will also want to invite friends and families!

On Shabbat, January 27th, we will have an important congregation community Core meeting following the service for those who consider Or Chaim Congregation as their community or spiritual home. This will be an annual meeting, where we will share the vision, mission statement and values of the congregation as we come into this new year.  We will also update you on the financial well-being of the congregation. It will also be an opportunity to ask questions of leadership, and bring suggestions that would bless the “Mishpacha” or community! All who love Or Chaim are welcome to attend. It will follow our Oneg, at approximately 1:45pm.

We look forward to seeing you this Shabbat, we miss you when you are gone!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

First Shabbat of 2018!

Shabbat Shalom!

The new year has arrived, and We are ready for 2018 to be a breakthrough year! We hear that word, “breakthrough” a lot, especially among Believers, but I do think it is very Biblical, and appropriate when you come out of one season and are intentionally preparing for the new season ahead. Or Chaim Congregation is entering into it’s 3rd year, 3 represents the Triune nature of God, The Father, Yeshua the son, and Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit), and to some degree, completion. We sense Abba is bringing our community into greater  revelation of our creator, and His purposes for us, individually and corporately. He is desiring to build upon the loving family environment we enjoy as a Congregation, to a loving community that reaches out to a dark world. Breakthrough is for all of us, and we have been praying that you will experience breakthrough in your personal lives, your families, and your Ministry calling!

You don’t want to miss the first Shabbat of the year, January 6th, as we honor, worship, and serve God  in a Messianic Jewish way! I, Stewart, will be completing Romans 8 (finally!), as we explore the amazing truth that NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD! If God is FOR US, who can stand against us? Rav Shaul (Paul), is absolutely awestruck by this truth, as we should be too! WE WILL CELEBRATE THE LORD’S COMMUNION DURING OUR SERVICE.

Also, we will have a potluck Oneg following the Service, so bring a dish to share, and enjoy fellowship! Of course, there will be Torah Midrash, before and after Service, and all are invited. This upcoming week’s Torah portion is “Shemot”, as we begin the incredible book of Exodus.

We look forward to seeing all of you this first Shabbat of the year. Several of us in leadership have set this month aside for fasting and prayer, we encourage you to ask The Father if you are to join with us. Nothing of Kingdom significance happens WITHOUT the prayer of the saints! Please join with leadership as we desire to see the purposes of God come to fruition in our midst in 2018!

Blessing and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 12/30/2017

Shabbat Shalom!

Wow, the last Shabbat of 2017! For many, it’s a time of reflecting back on the year past, and thanking God for His abundant blessing, and for others, it’s a time to say Thank you, God, it’s over! I want us all to look back on the year and rejoice as the scripture exhorts, “REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS - AGAIN I WILL SAY REJOICE!”, because I know that all of us can be thankful about many things. The hostile culture we live in is full of negative voices telling us how bad off we have it, and the news media is always reminding us that you are either a victim or that you are the oppressor. God’s word says “You are my son/daughter”; “You are precious and loved”; and, “He has good plans for you!” Join us this Shabbat, December 30th, at 10:30am, as we celebrate His goodness in our service! I will be continuing our study of Romans (what else!), and we will explore being subjected to futility - IN HOPE! The title of my message is, ‘WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?’

WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP! Also, we will be having a Bless Israel Outreach meeting at 1:30pm, to discuss the upcoming trip in February, and to pray into our time there. If you are going with us, we ask that you plan to be there!

As we have shared with the congregation, please keep Carl and Glenda in your prayer, as Carl is in the hospital till New Years Day, with bacterial pneumonia, and Glenda is struggling physically and needs to experience the Shalom of God in a powerful way. Continue to pray for Mary W. in her battle against cancer, that she will walk in victory as God heals her body. There are many other needs in our Mishpacha, so we ask that you be faithful in lifting up holy hands in prayer for our body! OUR GOD IS A GOD OF BREAKTHROUGH! Remind yourself of that truth on a regular basis, and also, remind the devil that he is defeated and that his days are numbered!

2017 Year End Giving

Shalom Mishpacha!

This past year has been an exciting year at Or Chaim! As we come to the end of our second year, we look back at the incredible things God has done, and look forward to a 2018 of blessing, growth and impacting the front range all the way to the nations. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your faithfulness in giving of your resources and gifts! So many people mention how they feel so loved and accepted at Or Chaim, and how that has encouraged them to grow in their love of God and to pursue Him more and more!

As we come to the end of 2017, people may be interested in giving an additional financial gift because they recognize God’s blessings throughout the year. Will you pray and ask Abba what He would have you give as we approach the end of the year? I sense that God is wanting us to reach out to and be more intentional in our outreach to our neighborhoods, our city, and of course, to Israel and the nations. We would like to be more active in reaching the Jews of metro Denver by participating, with others, in community activities. Also, we would like to have more training for our congregation in evangelism and how to disciple new Believers when they come into our Mishpacha. We know that God has a heart for His people, and that we are His hands, His feet, and are to proclaim His words in the midst of a dark and corrupt world that needs to experience the love of Yeshua!

IN ORDER FOR THESE FINANCIAL GIFTS TO BE TAX DEDUCTIBLE, THEY MUST BE POSTMARKED AND/OR GIVEN BEFORE DECEMBER 31ST, 2017. PLEASE MAKE CHECKS OUT TO OR CHAIM, OR YOU CAN GO TO OUR WEBSITE WWW.OR-CHAIM.COM AND DONATE THROUGH PAYPAL.

Remember, your gifts fund all aspects of our of our ministry that impact people’s lives! We want to thank for being part of our Or Chaim family and helping us to accomplish God’s kingdom work here on earth!

Blessings and Shalom!

Shabbat 12/23/2017

Shabbat Shalom!

Between that last sufganyot, the extra latke I didn’t need and that incredible pasta I was “forced” to eat, the time for an after Chanukah fast has arrived! We celebrated the Festival of Dedication, Chanukah, over the last week and it was truly a blessed time of fellowship, as we gathered in homes, lit Hanukkiah, reflected on Yeshua as the Light of The World, and ate oily comfort food! Millie and I want to thank all of those who hosted the various evenings, you were great.

This Shabbat, December 23rd, we will be continuing our study of Romans 8, with the powerful theme of what it means to be joint heirs with Messiah! I believe when we grasp this concept, not just theologically but experiential, we will be transformed and walk in greater authority than we ever have before. Abba wants us to go beyond an intellectual understanding of God, into our incorruptible inheritance we have in Yeshua, in this age and the age to come! It’s supposed to be cold this weekend, but you do not want to miss this service, so come on up to “the mountain”!

WE WILL NOT, I REPEAT, WE WILL NOT BE HAVING AN ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE.

I know many people will be traveling out of town over the next several days, visiting family, and we want to pray God’s protection as you travel, and that you will be a blessing wherever you are! If you won’t be traveling, we look forward to seeing you at Or Chaim this Shabbat. Here is an encouragement from The writer of Hebrews, “And do not neglect our own meetings ... but encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching”. These are perilous and exciting times we are living in, so we really do need one another, your uniqueness, your prayers and encouragement, as well as the gifts He has imparted into you. See you on Shabbat!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 12/16/2017

Shabbat Shalom and Chag Sameach!

What a wonderful time of the year, as we celebrate Chanukah, the festival of dedication, and that Yeshua is the Light Of The World! We have been meeting in homes, lighting the the candles on the CHANUKIAH, enjoying fellowship with Mishpacha, and scarfing down greasy and incredible food! More than that, we are reminded at this time of the year of a great victory won by a remnant of Jews, who refused to submit to evil, see their Holy place defiled, and turn their backs on the Torah of God! Daniel 11:32 says, “…but the people who know their God will display strength and take action.” Join us this Shabbat, December 16th, as we light the candles of Chanukah, share from His Torah, worship our King, and encourage one another. We will be continuing our study of Romans, and look further into THE SPIRIT OF SLAVERY VS. THE SPIRIT OF ADOPTION. This is an important message that you don’t want to miss. WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING YOUR FAVORITE CHANUKAH FOOD!

Following the service, we will be hosting a Messianic Dance camp, at 1:30pm, by Mindy Seta, where you will learn how to enter into messianic worship through dance! The cost is only a $10 suggested donation, so come on out and enjoy! Also, we will be having our weekly Torah Parsha Midrash, so as you can see, we have a lot of opportunity to get involved in community life at Or Chaim.

Check your Chanukah flyer or our website for the directions to upcoming home fellowships. The Westendorfs’ will be hosting on Sunday at the farm, and the Myrants’ are inviting us all on Monday. The final gathering will take place at Cinzetti’s Italian restaurant on Tuesday, December 19th!

Shabbat 12/1/2017

Shabbat Shalom!

Millie and I are back from a wonderful holiday! We are rested, ready, and excited about the season we are about to enter! This Shabbat, December 2, we will be hosting Stewart and Chantal Winograd from REACH INITIATIVE INTERNATIONAL, to share at our morning service. You will love this couple! Together, they left their comfortable lives in upstate New York, and moved to poverty-stricken Minsk, Belarus and planted a Messianic Congregation that now numbers 250 members! They are also reaching out to young Israelis that visit the Himalayas every year, bringing the good news of the Jewish Messiah! They believe, as we do, that God is preparing a great revival leading to harvest among young people of the next generations! Stewart’s teaching, “ISRAEL AND THE CHURCH: DISPELLING MYTHS, RESTORING TRUTH”, has impacted pastors and Christian leaders all over the world. WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

Of course, there will be Torah portion Midrash at 9am, and also 1:30pm following the service. These times have been awesome, so come on out and join us!

Chanukah is just around the corner, so stay tuned for information on when and where we will be meeting in folk’s homes!

Millie and I are looking forward to seeing all of you, so come on out to Or Chaim this Shabbat and enjoy THE PRESENCE OF GOD!

Shabbat 11/25/2017

Shabbat Shalom!
We want to wish all of you a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving! Millie and I are enjoying an awesome cruise in the Caribbean, but are praying that all of you are doing well. We have much to be thankful for this year, and it is so easy sometimes to take things for granted, but it is so important to be intentional in our gratitude!

This Shabbat, November 25th, Aaron Rich will be sharing what The Lord has put on his heart. Come out and support him, and be blessed in what God is going to do. THERE WILL BE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

Remember, Chanukah is right around the corner, and we will be celebrating the lighting of candles in family’s homes this year. We will be sending out dates, times, and locations of the various evening gatherings soon.

Millie and I look forward to seeing you soon! Be blessed and be thankful!

Shabbat 11/11/2017

Shabbat Shalom!

First of all, we want to say a big ‘Thank You’ to all of our veterans! Your service and patriotism is so appreciated by me and so many other Americans.

Millie and I have been in Phoenix for the last few days, as part of the Jewish  Voice Messianic Leadership Roundtable. Over 400 leaders from around the world gather every year for great teaching on 21st century leadership, re-connecting with old friends and making new and hearing what God is doing in various places. This year, the theme was “Transformational Leadership”,  taught by Ford Taylor. How do we become relational and transactional in a Biblical way, we learned a new word “Relactional”. A wonderful and fruitful time!

This Shabbat, November 11th, we will be continuing our teaching on Rav Shaul’s letter to the Romans. We will be looking at chapter 8, and how we can, and must, walk in this life with “NO CONDEMNATION!” You do not want to miss this incredibly important message!

WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING OUR SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

Next Shabbat, November 18th, we will be having a special guest with us, Messianic Pastor Alex Yalenga from Zambia, Africa. He is a wonderful man of God, truly a pioneer, starting congregations and orphanages that have blessed many. You will not want to miss this service! God’s presence has been powerful and He is touching lives in tangible ways. See you on Shabbat!

Church Shooting

Shalom Or Chaim Family,

Millie and I are in Phoenix for a Messianic Leadership Roundtable this week, and have just heard of the horrific shooting at a church in Texas. This is another terrible, demonic attack that has come upon this nation in the last several weeks. I am asking that all of us hold up in prayer the tiny town of Sutherland  Springs, Tx., especially for the families of this Baptist Church. As I reminded us yesterday, a spirit of violence has been unleashed on this nation and this is a vivid example of the carnage that this spirit causes. Today is our day of prayer for the 1Church initiative, so please include this tragedy as you bring petitions before The Lord. Remember what our Heavenly Father said to us yesterday, “the victory is stronger than the darkness.” The darker things get in this world, the greater the light of Yeshua must shine!

Blessings and Shalom,

Stewart and Millie

Shabbat 11/4/2017

SHABBAT SHALOM! I am convinced that LIGHT dispels the darkness and the current battle has already been won in great victory! God’s Word will not return void but fulfill its purpose. Several months ago I (Stew) sensed that an ugly, violent spirit had been unleashed on our nation. This week we witnessed an Islamist terrorist mow down innocent  people on a bike path in New York City, and a man randomly shoot 3 people apparently for no reason in a Walmart in Thornton CO. Unexplained random violence occurs all the time unfortunately, however, this spirit unleashed has an unholy agenda of keeping people more divided than ever, bringing a cloud of fear, distrust, and hatred that has the potential to boil over into every aspect of our society. As a child of the 60’s, I know this does not end well! Yeshua’s prophetic words in Mt. 23-25, are coming to pass in these days, I am not fearful, I am passionate in saying to anyone who reads this, “the sound of the Shofar is being heard, are we listening?”

This Shabbat, November 4th, I will be continuing our study of the book of Romans, as we look at “WINNING THE WAR WITHIN”, focusing on chapter 7:7-25. This powerful passage teaches how to walk in victory KNOWING our position IN MESSIAH, free of condemnation!

We will be having a potluck Oneg following the service, so bring a dish and stay for fellowship!

The time of Torah Study before our  Shabbat Service has been awesome! Aaron Rich has been leading this time of Midrash, at 9am, downstairs in the fellowship room. This week’s Parsha is “Vayera” (He appeared), Gen. 18:1-22:24. Bring your bible, and a heart to learn the foundations of our faith!

Spend time this week praying for The folks in our congregation, that they would grasp the destiny God prepared for them, that healing would be released, and bondages broken! This Sunday, is our day to pray as part of the wall of the 1Church Initiative, starting at 6pm. Also, don’t forget to TURN YOUR CLOCKS BACK this Saturday night!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 10/28/2017

SHABBAT SHALOM!

This is NOT “fake news”, Shabbat is coming and it is going to be good! First of all, Millie and I want to thank all of you for the wonderful words of blessing as we celebrated our Anniversary on Wednesday. We are ready for another 42 years! I have been thinking about something this week, as we have heard the sound of the Shofar through the Fall feasts and as we hear it on Shabbat, what does it awaken in you? Is it just some foreign, traditional Jewish thing we do to start a service, or does it awaken something in you? For me, it awakens me to His presence, it also awakens in me the reality that we are in a battle and that The King is going before us in this battle and it belongs to Him! Our job is to make sure our armor is on and that we are trusting whole-heartedly in the ability of our Commander to lead us through to victory!

This Shabbat, October 28th, we will be continuing our Romans series as we look at Rom.6:15-71-6 looking at how we walk in the “Newness of the Spirit”. This epistle is so key in us understanding and embracing not only our identity in Yeshua (Jesus) but also how important our choices are in regards to our actions. Also, we will be having our Torah study starting at 9am and  again at 1pm for those who are unable to make the morning class. This week’s Parsha is “LECH LECHA” (lit. “Go For You”), Gen.12:1-17:27, such an important passage as we look at the calling of Abram, and see our God as our loving, compassionate, covenant-keeping Father He is!

WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG AFTER OUR SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

Come and enjoy Shabbat with Or Chaim! We all need family (Mishpacha) during these challenging and stressful times that provides opportunity for us to shine! We look forward to seeing you!

Shabbat 10/21/2017

SHABBAT SHALOM!

First of all, I want to thank all of you for blessing Millie and I last week during our service last week. We are honored to serve you and Or Chaim Congregation and we love all of you! We sense that God is getting ready to “break through” in powerful ways, not just in our congregation, but in your personal lives and the lives of your family. A word that keeps coming to me is PERSEVERANCE, which literally means ENDURANCE IN THE FACE OF TRIALS. For many of us this past season has been a time of trial and struggle, but He wants to encourage you with the words of Shaul of Tarsus (Paul), “and perseverance produces character, and character, hope. AND HOPE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT”. Keep your eyes on Yeshua, He is watching over you!

This Shabbat, October 21st, we will have Ray and Kathryn Smith, of Art Of Worship Ministries, sharing with us during our morning service. They will bring to us their unique, and prophetic insight into What God is doing in these day. Also, we will be continuing the Torah Parsha study, that began last week, before service at 9am, downstairs in the fellowship room. This week’s Torah portion is Noach (Gen.6:9-11:32) if you want to read ahead. This is a great opportunity to read His word in an organized way, ask questions and discuss these important scriptures! For those who miss the Torah portion study in the morning, Aaron will be leading a time of reading at 1pm.

WE WILL HAVE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE, AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP!

We so look forward to seeing all of you this Shabbat! Invite a friend and come with an expectation that GOD WILL DO FAR MORE ABUNDANTLY BEYOND ALL THAT WE CAN ASK OR THINK …!

Shabbat 10/14/2017

SHABBAT SHALOM!

What a wonderful season of Succoth! Between gathering in our “succah” with family and friends and enjoying fellowship and food we have experienced the first snow of the season, and Israel celebrated its first rain of the year after a severe drought! This event in itself is significant and a sign of God’s blessing for the upcoming year.

This shabbat, October 14th, we begin a new cycle of Torah reading for the year. In line with this, we are beginning a new thing at Or Chaim, starting at 9am, Aaron Rich will be leading a time of reading and discussing the Parsha of the week! This will be a great opportunity to grow in our understanding and application of “Ha Yesod” (the foundation) of our faith. This class will be meeting downstairs in the fellowship room.

Also this Shabbat, we will be continuing our study of the letter to the Romans by dealving into chapter 6, and discovering that Sin’s dominion has been broken! This portion of scripture has radically changed my life over the last 20 years, and is crucial in understanding our true position in Messiah. You do not want to miss this message! WE WILL BE HAVING A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING OUR SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH AND ENJOY THE FELLOWSHIP.

This Sunday, October 15th, at 6pm, Faith Bible Church in Arvada, will be hosting their annual “Israel Awareness Night”, with special guest Dennis Prager. Contact FBC for more information. God is doing awesome things in our midst, you don’t want to miss what He is doing! We look forward to seeing you this weekend.

Shabbat 9/30/2017

SHABBAT SHALOM!

We are in the midst of the most important days of the Kingdom Calendar. Last week, we welcomed Yom Teruah, the Day of Blowing the Shofar that ushers in the 10 Days of Awe culminating in Yom Kippur the Day of Atonement. It’s a season of opening our hearts to rid ourselves of sin, T’Shuva (turning from or repentance), and regathering as the people of God.

Join us this weekend for very special services, as we remember the incredible atonement that Yeshua brought us by the shedding of His blood. Friday, September 29th at 7pm we will gather at Or Chaim for a solemn assembly, our Yom Kippur Kol Nidre service. If you have never attended a Yom Kippur service, come and experience corporate confession, repentance, and blessing, as we recognize and remember God’s incredible grace that came about through His atonement. It is also the beginning of the biblically mandated feast, a fast day of humbling.

On Shabbat, September 30th, we will have our scheduled Torah and worship service at 10:30am as we continue to remember this special season. WE WILL NOT HAVE AN ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE AS WE OBSERVE THE FAST.

On Saturday evening, at 5pm, we will be gathering at the home of Larry and Joyce Larson for our closing of Yom Kippur activities. Their address is: 117 S. ROGERS WAY, GOLDEN, CO. After a short service and time of worship, we will join in the traditional BREAK FAST as we enjoy a potluck meal together fellowshipping with our Mishpacha! PLEASE BRING A DISH WITH ENOUGH TO SHARE with each other (DIETARY APPROPRIATE) AS WE CLOSE OUT THIS WONDERFUL DAY!

On Wednesday, October 4th at 6pm, we will celebrate Erev Succoth at the farm of Tom and Mary Westendorf in Watkins, Co. We will meet in a genuine “sukkah” (primitive hut) so bring some Fall foliage to decorate! ALSO, THIS IS A POTLUCK, SO BRING A FAVORITE DISH AND ENOUGH TO SHARE! Weather permitting we will have a wonderful time of worship around the sukkah, and enjoy this special gathering as the people of Israel were commanded to make Aliyah to Jerusalem on this day! Mary will be sending out directions to their farm. You don’t want to miss this special evening!

As you can see, this is a special season, as we celebrate these “Moadim” (appointed times) a wonderful time of remembering God’s faithfulness and looking forward to His soon return! Invite your friends and family to these special gatherings, and be ready to receive great Blessing!

Shabbat 9/23/2017

SHABBAT SHALOM AND SHANA TOVA!

What a great time we had on Wednesday, 9/20, as we welcomed the 10 Days of Awe with a wonderful Yom Teruah (Rosh HaShana) service at Or Chaim! We were reminded of the significance of the season, as we shared the incredible meaning of this day, and heard the sound of the shofar awakening us to His presence, and looking ahead to His soon return! We ended the evening with the traditional apples and honey, a promise of a sweet and fruitful New Year! What a special time of the year, as we ask God to search our hearts, repent from ways that are contrary to His purposes, remember His incredible forgiveness, and look forward with great anticipation to our eternal dwelling (Succah) with Him.

This Shabbat, 9/23 at 10:30am, we will open up our service for Midrash. Because of the significance of the season, we want to be able to discuss questions you may have in regards to the Feasts of The Lord and the New Covenant or you may have a question about a particular scripture. This is a great opportunity to ask the elders, or if we don’t know the answer (believe me, that is entirely possible!) someone in the congregation may have revelation! Be prepared to ask questions, this is the process the Rabbis would use with their disciples, and Yeshua would often “Midrash” by sharing a parable to make a greater point. We will end our service by taking the Lord’s Supper together. THERE WILL BE A POTLUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH, AND ENJOY THE FELLOWSHIP!

Dont forget, Or Chaim Congregation will be having a Yom Kippur Kol Nidre service next Friday, 9/29 at 7pm. We will have our regular Shabbat service on 9/30 but will not have an Oneg following the service as we will be observing the traditional fast.
